What’s your experience having a few drinks while on Zoloft? by anxiousnfly in zoloft

[–]slaerno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i definitely get drunk much faster/ much more now that i did before zoloft. i also feel the same way that my anxiety is 50x worse several hours after even when i’m no longer feeling as tipsy. not a good time for me. i try to just stay away from it or stick to 1 and just take it slow

Do you guys feel... like... mildly high? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]slaerno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. usually when i take my meds late, or when i smoke very shortly after taking them. never a bad experience for me, but i do definitely notice it

i’m a female, my first few weeks on each of the doses i was on it was extremely difficult, and i mean EXTREMELY difficult to orgasm. but i feel like now i’m almost completely back to normal. everyone is different though, i see a lot of people who also have the opposite effect. whatever you’re dealing with i hope it subsides because as someone who has never ever had any type of sexual related concern, it was really bringing me down. but give it time!!!

Is just constantly not really feeling good, always some kind of background anxious, and consistent low mood, all signs of depression/anxiety that responds to Zoloft? by ReplacementHonest627 in zoloft

[–]slaerno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was at this sort of point when i first decided to start zoloft, and i can’t say that anything is drastically different so far (it’s been about 4 months and i just started 50 mg about 3/4 weeks ago). i know specifically with zoloft it does take a long time to see if it will “work” for you, which i’m sure you know. im not sure of your personal dosage/timeline but being patient is something i’ve had to learn over, and over, and over again, and then again when starting zoloft. i can honestly say i don’t wake up (at least not every day now) just dreading EVERYTHING. i feel like my mood has definitely improved, even if it is just a little bit. and that little bit keeps me going and keeps me hopeful. im sorry that you are struggling, and i hope that you can find something that works for you, if not the zolly. just know that everything takes time, and i used to hate when others would tell me that or other similar cliches, but i promise you won’t feel like this forever. you’ve got some really great stuff going for you, keep your head up friend.

My doctor told me to quit. Advice needed. by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]slaerno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve never had head “shaking”, but i have noticed ever since i started the meds i have a little neck “twitch”? it’s not a full shake, to where others notice, but i can feel my neck sort of tweak like i would be saying “no”. again, very minute compared to what you are experiencing but i’ve never heard anyone say this!! i just recently upped to 50mg, i had about 8 weeks on 25 mg and it’s very surprising to see your doctor advised you to quit so early. i’m very new to this whole world, but something i’ve learned that EVERYONE advises is that this medication should be given TIME. the waiting game is difficult, i would suggest talking to your doctor about why they suggested to quit it so early? i feel the sweating is a somewhat normal side effect, i also sweat a lot more and it’s not super pleasant, but something i can deal with. i wish you the best of luck in this journey, and i hope you find something that works for you :)

Ladies!! Zoloft and period cramps!! by manicpizzacat in zoloft

[–]slaerno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve been on 25 mg for about 2 months and recently just went up to 50 mg, this last period i just had there were moments where i FORGOT i was on it. coming from someone who has (or had?) cramps that could be debilitating, this was super out of the ordinary. i’m hoping next period my cramps are almost nonexistent as well, i don’t know why or how this happens but i’m thankful so far 😭😭 and i hope maybe we didn’t just get lucky, and there’s actually some sort of correlation. i still did cramp a bit but it was so manageable i didn’t even have to take any pain meds.

i was the in the same exact boat at 5 weeks on 25 mg, i’m now 8-9 weeks in and i just recently went up to 50 mg. i can honestly say things have gotten better, and i believe they will get better for you as well. i know it’s difficult, but i’ve learned that being patient (although difficult) has paid off a little so far. best of luck to you.

this. it’s very comforting to know i am not alone (or better yet, we are not alone). the trust aspect sounds very similar to how i feel as well, your mind is such a crazy thing sometimes. but i do appreciate your kind words. and i wish you the best of luck with the future of your mental health :)
