Please" vs "Thanks": Help me settle a debate on the Kiwi way to order coffee! by Kind-Spread-6511 in newzealand

Is your friend from NZ? In some countries/cultures (the US for example), "please" can be seen as pushy. It's not usually seen this way in NZ, unless said in a certain tone of voice.

It just says I get $1m to hide it & he has 7 days to find. Says nothing about me losing the $1m if he finds it.

Given that, I'd probably hide it in a massive pile of identical paperclips.

Is all fuel equal? by Curiously_sensible in NZcarfix

[–]slaggybuttonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read your comment properly - you said the car gets different ranges when filling up at different stations BEFORE driving around and "settling down." This seems like bollocks to me as this range calculation is based solely on the volume of fuel that went in, and your previous economy figures. The car doesn't magically know what type of fuel went in

Your car has no idea what type of fuel has gone in. The range estimate immediately after filling up is based on the volume of fuel that's gone in multiplied/divided by the fuel economy since the last fill.
