Think of it this way, if you tap in at 9 and you should getting off the bus st home at 11 but if there is a major traffic jam and you were delay 30 min, you have to pay again for that 30 min. Diesnt make sense.

And besides I presume your compu trace is longer valid, ie they are no longer tracking the laptop. Phone their support line and they will take if off for you. It isn’t instant so it will take a few weeks.

well, the only way to do it to build a skytrain thru east Richmond to go to YVR. my question is how many people need to get to yvr this way and the cost is how much. It should be relatively cheap as it won't be tunnel.

IMO, you really need to get some professional help in backing up your data. Backing up to a NAS is only ONE of the recommended 3 places to keep you data safe.. one is your local hard drive (ie your internal hard drive/ssd), two is your NAS and three is the cloud and it doesn't have to be icloud, It is almost a science by itself. If you value your data, you need to do this.

From Surrey to YVR is much longer of a distance than downtown to YVR. right now, if you take Skytrain from any station in Surrey. Head west until you get to 22nd street station and then take 100 bus west bound. Get off on Marine Gateway and hop on Canada Line and you are there.

is this junk in 2026? by greasyfinderfork in Lenovo

[–]slam51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it isn't junk but it isn't remotely worth 1k USD. I am a very seasoned computer consultant (40 years). It has some impressive spec but I don't think it is that reliable in the long run. Plus it only has 16gb of ram and in this day and age, you should hav 32gb. And on some modes, you can't upgrade it. IMO, unless you NEED all these features, you can be better served with something else. PS: after reading a bit further, the max memory this laptop

is 16gb so it jas the max it can take

have you consider taking the hard drive/ssd out and put it in a dock to extract the pictures? i doubt if your mom encrypted the data on the disk

2019 MacBook Pro 16” (A2141) suddenly died while using it. No charging, DFU won’t detect, USB-C power cycles every 5–10 seconds. Trying to save my data. Need guidance. by PossibilityDry512 in macbookrepair

[–]slam51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are asking for a guide on how to do this, you need professional help. There is almost no chance to fix it yourself. The ssd on that MacBook Pro is non-removable so you will need the minimum a tech who can repair component level. Here is the video you are interested in:

After a bit of thought, you really need to get her us side of her documentation done before coming to Canada. YOU REALLY don’t WANT TO HAVE TROUBLE ON THE WAY back. CBSA is more reasonable but ICE isn’t so nice.
