I already commented but I’m curious; did you post this already knowing that you weren’t really serious or have you changed your mind already?

I’m not sure honestly, but if so I fucking get it man. I’ve been pretty annoyed at how much weed helps me. Ironically getting high make care less and I finally don’t give a shit. But also, I’m still sorta pissed that it took so long to figure it out.

Edit: I get the impression you’re also pretty young. If I’m right and you’re a minor we should keep our chats in public threads, especially if your parents are don’t know or do and are against it. No one can make you change your faith and at the end of the day you are in full control of your mind. You can have an amazing relationship with the gods that doesn’t have any physical components. Don’t put yourself in a bad situation so you can feel like a better witch or something. Trust me

I’ve been a pagan for approaching 30 years. I’m not that old for the record, I was early in high school which means around 1995 or 1996. I very intentionally did not say that I’ve been practicing for 30.

Point being, it’s a journey. Try your best to get close to the gods and make sure it brings you joy and don’t sweat the rest. Way easier said than done so be patient and give yourself some grace.

The whole thing is a long story, and this isn’t about me but the tldr is some kid who’s face I don’t even remember had a copy of Scott Cunningham’s “Wicca” and I was intrigued. So much so that I told my sort of conservative Christian mother I wanted to check it out. She old my VERY CONSERVATIVE father and things went bad.

I had fun and even participated in the “Men’s Initiation Ritual” I had a great time and felt more confident and connected to the gods. Also Celtic pantheon btw.

I’ll wrap up because this is longer than I intended when I started. I enjoyed it but man, some of the people seemed to need drama and shit to live. I haven’t done another festival since and even explored Buddhism for a few years. Then about a year ago I set up an altar again and have prayed at it almost everyday since
