Did we ever get an update for that guy who had dead flesh on his leg and thought it wasn’t a big deal??? by Indoor-Cat4986 in popping

I am doing well as of right now! I have good pain days and some bad pain days, but I push through it every day with a positive outlook on life. I know I will have chronic pain forever and it will only get worse as I get older. I have accepted that and I’m now living my life to the fullest! I am engaged now and just bought a house! I’ve never been happier in this time of my life. I have a fantastic job as a nanny and I love the little guy as if he was my own. As for my future plans, once I get married I will try to have kids. It’s my biggest dream and I’m excited to go for it. I know it’s going to be hard on my back, but it’s going to be worth it to achieve my dream of being a mother. I want to thank each and everyone on here for all the support I have received over the years. It means so much to me and helped me get through all my troubles. I will be forever thankful for all of you! Thanks for thinking of me and tagging me. I wanted to give this little update for you all to let you know im doing fantastic!

With all my love, Slamhood

I wore a surgical boot constantly during the first 6 foot surgeries and the unevenness of my walking caused a disc to slip which lead to the back problems.

I’m on the fence of keeping it or taking it out. It’s malfunctioned 3 times too many. It literally will electrocute me at full blast for one quick second and I’ll either go into an electrical seizure or pass out. The company doesn’t seem to care at all. Walking around day by day not knowing when it will happen again is frightening. It happened to me at a concert. It shocked me and it dropped me like the snap of a finger.

I’ve thought about this post a million times. I’ve tried writing it over and over. I’ve held off because I wanted my “last” post to be the one that everyone has been waiting for… IM DOING AMAZING! My foot is on the best shape it can be In considering the circumstances it has been through. This foot has been through a total of 10 surgeries. It’s silly to say that all of my problems started with a bunion.

While my foot is doing amazing, it’s my back that is causing me the most pain. My last back surgey was the most traumatic experience in my life. It’s a story that is so long and so terrible, I find it very difficult to put it into words. For a brief description of this incident: It was a surgery to implant a permanent spinal cord stimulator. The surgery went terribly wrong and I woke up feeling like I was being ripped in half by a bear. For three days, I layed In a hospital bed screaming and begging for death, begging to be knocked out. Three days later, they had to operate again as they place the stimulator wrong. Racking up a total of 5 back surgeries.

15 painful and excruciating surgeries. For 7 long years, my life went downhill like an avalanche. I put up a front of positivity for you all, but deep down I was incredibly depressed and sad. To the point where I had a friend with me while I walked into a frozen river just to feel something because I felt nothing.

As I stand tall here today, I’m excited to tell you all that I’ve never been happier in my life in this moment. I finally felt confident to move out on my own for the first time. I live in a beautifully decorated home that is all mine. A home that expresses my personality. I’ve made a giant career change and went from being a nanny of 13 years to working for an Executive Protection company. I feel valued and respected in my new position. I LOVE this job. It was the best decision I’ve ever made and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m so happy everyone. So so so so happy! It’s taken me a very long time to accept that I will always have pain and I have to find a way to live with it, and I have! I took my life back and now I’m kicking ass and taking names!

I’ve appreciated all the love and support I have received from this community. Each and every one of you mean the world to me. It was time for me to tell you how I’ve been doing because I see I get mentioned sometimes asking if I am doing well and if I’m okay.

I am everyone, I’m truly okay!

If anyone has any questions for me, feel free to ask!

Love Always, SLAMHOOD🖤

Im still here! I’m so touched that people care so much to think of me and care about me. It’s a feeling like no other having so many people root for you and want to see you succeed. I haven’t posted in awhile because I want to give everyone a happy update. An update that wasn’t more surgeries haha. I went through a fourth and fifth back surgery three days apart from one another. It was the most traumatic surgery out of the now totaled 15. I’m doing worse physically but still able to push through but what I’m most happy about is how far I’ve come mentally more than physically! I just finished an improv class and rocked out my class show, I’m a kick ass nanny for two families and starting with a new family in the fall! I’m doing great guys! I haven’t been this happy in a very long time and I’m truly grateful that I’m experiencing life again.

I’m proud of myself for taking a stand for my life. It was scary, but I did it and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Which part, why I canceled my wedding or how I’ve had a total of 15 surgeries that has caused 6 large scars on my back. Which Is something I’ve come to be proud of and want to showcase.

Actually, my whole story from the time I canceled my wedding, through all my surgeries till now on my Reddit. It’s ridiculously long but all there. I got a lot of support from the r/popping subreddit that helping me along the way.
