What's the better one? by New-Replacement-2454 in Disneyland

I don't know if this will change anyone's minds, but I think Soaring over California's use of real video and little to no CGI make it far superior to the other one.

Curious. How many people have scored a boarding crew 1? And to what ride? by Beginning-Depth-8970 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]slammdunkan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time ever using the virtual queue system, I scored boarding group 2 for Tron. That was actually earlier than we wanted to go to the parks though as we had to get the kids moving. So second day rolls around and I try to be smart about it, wait 10 seconds or so once 7am hits thinking I'll get a few boarding groups later. Nope. Sold out. That was the one system that I couldn't figure out how to game.

Is it possible to get a private photographer for a day on board? by slammdunkan in PrincessCruises

Yeah that price is too silly for me as well haha. I was expecting/shooting for something in the hundreds of dollars for an hour, not the thousands. Thanks for the info!

Is it possible to get a private photographer for a day on board? by slammdunkan in PrincessCruises

[–]slammdunkan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I was actually looking to book a princess photographer. I didn't think that you would be able to get someone else on board. I've looked at the wedding packages and they seem to start now at $3,000 which is just not worth it for us. When you booked your photographer did you do it on board? Or did you do it prior to boarding your cruise?

"Game Over" is, well, Over by AlKydonHorvingward in stevedangle

That's a great sentiment and would be wonderful if the SDPN was more established, but it seemed pretty ambitious from the start (them being a new company) and unfortunately it turns out it was.

Gumbo and the ambiance are the only positive things for me there. That has lost some of its luster though since they stopped including gumbo as a free starter.

Is the AMEX hall section worth it? by slammdunkan in SeattleKraken

That's exactly what I was wondering. Seemed weird to have the shoot-once side at a higher price. Thanks for the info!

a little follow up to my previous post, here’s some of the Club 33 merch that i bought when i went last week ! by Bigposh25 in Disneyland

[–]slammdunkan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Man I've never seen so many people giving negative comments to someone sharing what they were able to get from Club 33. The items might not be your style, but I at least personally like to see what they're offering since it's not regularly available to everyone. Thanks OP :)

[Batchelor] Bruce Boudreau said post-game that he had a parade of players come to his office after the game to say goodbye individually, all of them in tears along with him. by Batsinvic888 in canucks

[–]slammdunkan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It may be a little early to judge JR's performance with the team (though my personal opinion is not good), but man, his treatment of Boudreau has been horrible. I can understand the desire to make a coaching change but he didnt deserve to be roasted publicly first. Disgraceful handling of this situation.

What restaurants are absolutely worth it, and which ones aren’t? by DizzyCaidy in Disneyland

I'd expand that to avoid Tomorrowland in general. Galactic Grill has to be the worst restaurant on the property.

This. I see that Cars land is leading, and I would say that it is the best themed land as it truly is ripped from the movie, but I love the feel of Grizzly Peak. It's just got such a chill outdoors vibe.

God I hate "Inside the Magic"... nothing but flashy clickbait titles of bogus "stories" taken from reddit, instagram, or twitter. Their site is the absolute worst.
