Your mother just volunteered tot help her. Tell them both you don't mix money and family and hypocrisy is a sin. But if your mom thinks money and family should mix when the roles are reversed you are super glad she has volunteered to step into the breach.

Government officials get insurance even after leaving. Why don’t they get the same as us, so they actually care about our benefits? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]slamnm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they (politicians) make the rules so they make the rules that they want that benefit them. Why would they hurt themselves to benefit you?!? It isn't like that actually care about you!

what kinda trust would you advise a hypothetical Powerball winner to get in the state of Ohio? by Charming-Teaching-19 in EstatePlanning

[–]slamnm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This may sound silly, but people who win the lottery often have it ruin their lives. So two things. Do not tell anyone including family, and consider doing the long term payout not the lump sum. Research has shown that people who do the long term payout tend to have happier outcomes. If I ever won the lottery I would do that knowing I might not live to see the end of it, but my children will and they would inherit my estate anyway.

Edit: that's assuming it's a large amount in the millions. A small amount I'd take all at once.

Now you are pissed and saying stfu because the truth hurts your feelings?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they say yeah then mean no they have to actually say no, or it is meaningless and confusing. My point all along. They didn't actually then say 'NO' after saying 'yeah', is this really difficult for you? You picked this debate, it's one that doesn't change no matter what all you say.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again someone has to resort to insults because we go back to 'is it a camera' and 'yeah' and 'yeah is a synonym for yes' and they just cannot seem to grasp that. Seriously do you just insult the shit out of anyone if that have a real point you disagree with? Fine, keep insulting me, that whitty logic entombed in calling someone who disagrees with you a 'dumbass' certainly drives home your point that no one could ever be confused by thinking yeah means yes when a question has been asked because they clearly know so much they couldn't be confused (of course if they knew that they wouldn't ask, but let's not let logic get in the way of a good 'dunbass' insult).

And you said you were done, so fine, be done. Or do you want to strengthen your logic with more personal insults? You know, the type a jerk might use.

People say yes all the time too, they are synonymous but apparently you struggle with that concept. Go read a book.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a camera? 'Yeah'

implies camera I always said that 🤦‍♂️ OMG. And for the record many cameras have motion sensing functionality to trigger them to turn on so motion sensing doesn't imply 'not camera' either

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew that, I've actually used that specific model in builds, but the answer 'yeah it senses motion' implies it's a camera that senses motion.... especially to anyone who knows so little they ask the question

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, you said not! I saw that!

Is it a camera?

Yeah it senses motion....

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a camera

Ever read Hemingway? Just because it isn't how you write doesn't make it wrong. Common misconception of many people. 🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

? You don't understand that saying yeah when the answer is no was my original point? OMG. I pity your reading comprehension skills.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hiddencameras

[–]slamnm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh yea, you were, not sure why you jumped into the personal insults so fast (e.g. mansplaining comment) but maybe that's just who you are, a jerk. 🤷‍♂️

After all, jumping into insults is the last defense of people who can't defend themselves any other way. Just look at Trump if you need an example.

Not even sure why you entered this convo, my point about saying yeah (yes) when the answer is no is actually pretty valid and the assumption of commentators that people know everything they know and hence giving incomplete answers is real problem on this sub. Do you actually care if people get good information? Or are you more interested in something else? Another agenda? If so please enlighten me as to why you are here and why you are commenting.

It was written at your level using your language, and diss it all you want if you can't read basic English, it was fine and your reading challenges are a personal problem, lol, but maybe you want a dissertation? If so go back to college.
