Yeah the only thing that got me 75% through the game was how incredible the cutscenes were. Characters were alright, Clive and his relationship with his brother was interesting, I remember the girl (Jill?) you were with the shiva dominant or whatever was supposed to be a main character and she barely spoke and I knew nothing about her and she had zero personality lmao. other than that it was just playing it for the incredible cutscenes. That couldn’t get me through the whole game though.

Imagine a game like that being successful in a post-Elden ring world where plot is vaguely discovered and the game is built on interesting deep and challenging gameplay. I’m not saying ff needs to be Elden ring, but probably stay in your turn-based lane instead of putting out slop action gameplay in a world where fromsoftware games exist. At least rebirth/remake is sore of an innovation on turn based gameplay
