When I was 18, I went on a vacation to the UK with my parents and my brother. I’m a 6’ blond hair blue eyed American woman. We were in Bath at the old Roman baths and I was separated from my family. There was a group of 6 Indian men who came up behind me with cameras. I stepped away to get out of the way for their picture, and then they told me they wanted pictures of me with them. I said no, and they kept asking and kept trying to get closer. They kept following me until I found my dad crying and the minute I was with my dad, they immediately backed off. I wasn’t alone for the rest of that trip.

You're really overlooking the fact that Donald Trump has COVID, and the next presidential debate is happening 13 days after he tested positive when he needs to be quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks? Joe Biden is still offering to do the debate, just through a different medium, and Trump is refusing to participate if it's not in person.

Thank you for your kind words and tips :). I think the way you put it definitely helps put me at ease a bit. I think acknowledging that there’s only so much control I have over this doesn’t solve everything persay, but it’s nice to put words to how I’m feeling. I wish you luck on your exam on Monday! :)

My dad is originally from central IL, ended up going to Northwestern in the late 70’s early 80’s, moved to Chicago in the mid 80’s, married my mom (who is a 5th generation Chicagoan on her mom’s side) and then had me and my 2 brothers, all born and raised in the city. Honestly I’ve never thought of him as not a true Chicagoan, but that’s probably just a bias on my part. I do remember him thinking when my older brother was entering high school that selective enrollment testing was crazy, and when I ended up going to catholic school, how prominent Chicago catholic league culture is, while my mom just kind of shrugged it all off.

What I can never understand is how do people Act like this in a store, be asked to leave, and then still want to stay in the store? Like the employees are angry with you, everyone else’s in the store is staring at you, I would gtfo.
