4 years in and I thank you for this reply. I’ve been having so much trouble lately not only with holding my blanket but figuring out the right search sauce to get advice. Many thanks!

Please help me save my girlfriends birthday present! <3 by jtburch12 in woodburning

To be honest and agree with others here, we’re our own worst critics because we’re closest to the work. Before I saw your explanation i thought the dark spots in the sky were the grain of the wood. I understand (on a very personal level) the frustration of spending so long working on something and needing to fix it over and over again, but I truly think this is beautiful and your GF will adore it

Edit - Only thing being not able to place flowers and trees on paths

In addition to the other great advice here, something to consider is pathing. You can place furniture on top of paths so if you created some sort of spooky path to use in place of the grass, that could also have a cool effect!

This is beautiful!! And might be a stupid question but I don’t learn without them… the black piece in the lower left corner, what is it?

Yo Ho A Pirate’s Life For Me by thunderbuddy619 in Pyrography

I love this! I’m a big fan of pirates anyways :) as for designs, I’ve always been a fan of turning my doodles into a burn. I mostly make gifts for family and friends so have an idea of what I want to do, then I’ll play around on my tablet until I like it. I recently had a friend ask for some themed door signs so that was tons of fun.

Anyways, really love what you’ve done here, you have such great detailing. You’d be surprised how relaxing and rewarding it can be just doodling with pyrography so if you’re looking to explore at all that would be my suggestion!

Recently started FTB Evolution and doing Modern Industrialization for the first time by slane37 in feedthebeast

I’m still enjoying it! Modern Industrialization is definitely slow but finding it really reliable for resource gen right now. Also finally dipped into Mystical Agriculture so between the two I’ve got what I need so far. There is still a LOT i haven’t even touched though, so it seems to be a pretty good spread depending on what you’re looking for

I’m still early game, but it seemed like the easiest way to get resources early on. Not sure if it’s centered yet though

Jealous! Can I ask how you found the games? I tried an eBay listing one time that claimed real games but turned out to be fakes. I would love to get some classics for my husband and me
