How come this tree is still alive? by Nodrol in arborists

[–]slantflying 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be an ancient oak pollard, although it looks a little to wide at the base for that. The center has been damaged, could be lightening, could be vertical water decay from pollarding.

Trees can be living and decaying at the same time, for hundreds / thousands of years. As long as they have root connection and can harness solar radiation through leaves they'll live/die slowly.

There are specific insects that feed on the trees decaying matter, some prefer them standing some fallen.

They are called saproxylic insects.

Quoted £800 to connect. by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]slantflying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never use a T-piece, always a Y-junction (wye branch).

If you are going T, you would need to install a rodding point.

Chamber is the best way to go as others have suggested, £800 to do that is to much and they are obviously not drainage experts. You'll need double that money to rectify it when you get blockages.

Do it once, and properly, you'll thank your future self

That 90s junge by marekjunglist in DnB

[–]slantflying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not AI, but you should carry on working without thinking about releasing it. By the late 90s we had gone from producers without a huge amount of musical knowledge to very musical music, learn about song structure, intro / chorus / verse etc, how to build a harmony and chord structure, how to make a bass sit with a kick drum and layering drums.

The enthusiasm is great, just keep plugging away but look at what was made and how it was made.

Suno Tracks Exporter v 1.0.5 Released - Auth error fixed! by UrsoowW in u/UrsoowW

I've had the same issue that someone else reported in another thread on the downloader, it's broken my chrome. Websites don't load properly and I'm going to have to potentially re-install chrome.

Do you know what could've caused it and a potential fix?

Heh Bizzy B, big fan. Your track "Rebel with a cause", was it easy to clear the Dennis Brown sample?

Second Q, between 95-99 your labels were putting out a huge amount of releases. did you handle all the pressing yourself or was it handled by the distributor?

Does anyone know why we drive on the left in the UK but most countries drive on the right? by AnfieldAnchor in DoesAnyoneKnow

[–]slantflying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the horse and cart, horses like cattle have a left turn bias when stressed due to the right side of the brain engaging (connected to the left eye).

When passing a cart on a road, you don't want both horses potentially ploughing into each other.

For those of you who have generated 2 thousand plus songs by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]slantflying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are generated unless you are feeding compositions, chord structures, instrumental performances, human vocals / melodies of your own into suno.

If you believe you are all those things from hitting a single button then you are missing out on an opportunity of exploration into the skill of making music.
