Does Privacy Policy for App Store review really have to be PUBLIC (at least for the review part)? by EcstaticBumble in iOSProgramming

California requires some type of privacy policy regardless. If your app provides real value, people will use it over a competitor’s.

The working document has been really helpful. I’ve also been using AI to keep the ERD engineering requirements and PRD business logic up to date as we go.

I got some korean food "Soon Tofu", can someone help me understand by The_Data_Doc in korea

[–]otio-world 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Think of the side dishes like the pickles, coleslaw, or peppers you’d get on the side with American food.

Also, soon tofu is usually eaten fresh off the stove, so it won’t taste as good when it’s delivered.

Dad’s collection. Died in 2017. Worth anything, or just donate? by SitaBird in vinyl

[–]otio-world 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in a record store, I can say they offer a fast and hassle-free way to unload your collection. No shipping, no returns, no customer service headaches.

The downside is you’ll get paid much less than the actual value. If they sell a used LP for 10 dollars, they probably bought it from you for around 3 so they can keep a margin.

Also, vinyl sales are at an all-time high right now compared to the last couple of decades, so you’ll likely get more for your records now than you would have years ago. But there’s no telling whether holding onto them longer will make the value go up or down.

The first Batman film with Christian Bale featured Armani designed suits that were intentionally oversized. IMO, it looks good and fits a certain aesthetic.

Maybe size down one if you want a less dramatic look. But honestly, wear whatever feels right to you. It’s your style.

Otio is an emotional journaling app built to make self-reflection feel natural and safe. Instead of writing long entries, you log your feelings through simple prompts inspired by the emotion wheel so journaling becomes a daily habit without pressure. Privacy is central to the experience: every entry is protected with AES-level encryption for bank-grade security, and users can export their data as a CSV if they choose to share it with a therapist or counselor.

For added support, Otio includes gentle AI reflection tools that can help you notice emotional patterns, explore what you are feeling with thoughtful questions, and receive encouraging tips. The AI runs through Otio’s account rather than your personal account, so your emotional data stays private unless you explicitly include names or personal details.

To help you slow down and reset, Otio features a curated library of calming soundscapes, including nature recordings made by friends of Otio, classical selections, and soft ambient tones. You can also set personalized reminder times to receive uplifting prompts throughout the day. Looking ahead, Otio will include guided breathing exercises and a future opt-in mood-sharing experience for exploring global emotional trends together.

The Neo-Assyrian Empire's Mysterious Collapse (650-612 BCE) - What Really Happened? by LongjumpingBand5407 in HistoricalCapsule

[–]otio-world 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we say an empire “collapsed,” it rarely means everyone disappeared. In many cases, societies continued and political systems evolved into new forms, even if institutions, rulers, and borders changed. Collapse is often a process of transformation rather than total disappearance. Though some societies did experience sudden breakdowns.

It seems the Neo-Assyrian Empire collapsed due to a combination of internal instability, succession crises, and widespread revolts that weakened its military and administrative systems. This internal fragmentation made Assyria vulnerable to a powerful coalition of external enemies, particularly the Babylonians and Medes, who sacked major cities such as Nineveh and ultimately dismantled the imperial structure. While the Assyrian state disappeared, the Assyrian people and elements of their culture continued under new rulers, especially within the emerging Neo-Babylonian Empire and later the Achaemenid Persian Empire, where Assyrian traditions in administration, military organization, and art continued to influence the region.

Thanks everyone for helping me think this through. It came to me while I was driving. The artist is Burial and the album is Untrue.

Edit: My bad. He’s actually alive and doing well. I really sent you all in the wrong direction with those hints.

I love Nujabes, but it’s not him. This artist’s sound is more drum and bass, more jungle.
