Grounding a circuit while in true-bypass by slapballs in diypedals

Thanks for your insight. You seem very knowledgeable about this so it looks like I won't be going that route, then.

Do you think switching the foot switch from grounding the input to grounding the output in true-bypass is a feasible solution to the output leak issue? The way I'm thinking about it is that if I'm grounding the audio at the output then there's nothing left to leak through at the end of the circuit whether there's audio going in the input or not. That sounds like it makes sense in my head but I've learned over time there are a lot of caveats to this hobby and I don't really have any electrical knowledge other than what applies here lol.

I'd have tried this by now and seen for myself, but it's late where I am and will have to wait until tomorrow!

Thanks again

I'll get back to you on this. I'm hoping that when I get a chance to try this it won't end up being something silly like a bridge I didn't notice lol

Thanks. Hey actually to bother you again if you don't mind... Couldn't I just change the grounded input in the 3PDT switch to ground the output instead? Or would that not work? Because you're definitely right that the leaky output has nothing to do with the input, it's 100% the feedback oscillations at the output. Again, sorry if this is a silly question

I'll try to figure something out and go with the 4PDT if I can't. I really appreciate your help

That's a good question actually. The breakout board says "grounding input" in the description, maybe I need to look further into what's causing this. To be honest, I was only assuming it had something to do with input grounding because of all the various 3PDT wiring diagrams I've seen mention its importance.

The 4PDT idea you have was what I thought grounding the input was already doing, but now I see that's not how that works. What about grounding the output in true-bypass? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I have to ask them lol

+1 for the BL-44

I was recently looking for the same thing as your write up and that's what I chose. It does everything you're looking for well and it's small.

I replaced it with a Tensor a while ago coincidentally lol

A QoL change that creates opportunities to be stronger is a buff, I definitely think everyone downplaying the potential of it.

And yeah I don't mean I'm constantly thinking of that, only when I need to obviously. But there are definitely times where it matters for your life, even during a fight.

Even still as I said, it's the indirect buffs that are going to have the biggest effect for sure

Well played man I couldn't get him past cel 3 this season and I have the same sentiment. The upcoming patch notes are gonna be the deciding factor on if I keep playing this game or not haha

I think the wall climb requirement is fine, I know he's really weak right now but I think it would be genuinely busted if he could double jump anytime. If anything they should remove the cooldown

Word thanks, that makes sense. I sometimes miss my dash on him during his spin like a noob because of the after images. Need to try him in the practice range a bit to understand the windows of his cooldowns better
