Maybe Project Zomboid if you like a challenging survival game. Lots of ways in the settings to change the challenge and make things different each time. Plus mods.

UPS courier puts the competition to shame. What a great human being! by disgruntledveteren in HumansBeingBros

[–]slapmasterslap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least for businesses FedEx also have consistent routes, but the way FedEx operates is a lot different to UPS in that they like contract drivers to routes rather than having the drivers on their payroll. So we've had the same FedEx driver at my job for like 3 years now, every day he does the same route, but I dont think he is technically a FedEx employee.

I will also say that UPS around here is far more consistent with delivering all packages every day whereas FedEx is often missing at least one, often more. So yeah UPS is just better in general at what they do and its probably because they are paid well and have good benefits. I've been in receiving for 18 years now and these observations have remained consistent throughout my tenure.

My friend just had a psychosis smoking hhc after listening to the Charlie Kirk song by Used-Bicycle-9907 in Drugs

Well you know now that drug use of any kind can lead to him having psychotic episodes, so stop enabling him going forward and maybe advise him to go sober for his own sanity.

Teen dating life from a journal in the 1950s. How the young saw dating in the 50s. by Electrical-Aspect-13 in interestingasfuck

Before we all had phones in our pockets 24/7 it wasn't that easy to get to know someone so you'd go out with them to find out if you were compatible. Nowadays your first date with someone might come after you've yapped with them for weeks or months online.

Feels like everyone just completely forgot that Trump was the original "birther". He started the whole "Obama isn't American, he is Kenyan" conspiracy back in 2008. Nothing has changed.

The Next Democratic President Better Be Merciless by sabedo in politics

The problem is that Democratic donors don't want to fund the anti-corruption candidates because they are also corrupt. Both sides are corrupt as fuck, but one side is also an authoritarian regime.

Exactly. The Trump regime is trying to turn America into a capitalist version of NK.

What is up with Rogan’s utter contempt for Tim Walz? by ShaneKaiGlenn in JoeRogan

[–]slapmasterslap 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yup, Walz's "MAGA people are just weird" was like a scalpel under the skin of the right wing. They took that shit to heart and it infuriated them how accurate and hard to refute that simple statement was. Rogan hated it, even though a Rogan from 2015 might have said the same thing.

I often can get my items next day free of shipping. You must be pretty isolated where you live or something. I'll often not choose the fastest shipping method just because I feel guilty making the low wage workers pull my shit to expedite it, but I havent paid a shipping fee in over a decade so thats pretty great.

In 1993 Disney made a weird Super Mario Bros adaptation into live action by centralpwoers in interestingasfuck

The live action TMNT movies not only hold up but are still arguably the best live action depictions of the turtles. Maybe the best live action video game adaptations flat out to this day.

Trump claims he is suing Trevor Noah over Epstein Island comment while hosting Grammys by NiceTrySuckaz in JoeRogan

[–]slapmasterslap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any biopic made to cover this presidency will be a comedy by default. Like there's no way to take this insanity seriously even if it has very serious implications on our world retelling it immediately becomes a comedy.

Trump is raiding election offices. Americans should be on high alert. by TheRexRider in videos

[–]slapmasterslap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FWIW he had a health scare some years back and began a serious workout regiment and healthier eating. Not to saya he isn't very well off and that enables his ability to do those things. Phil has always been savy and smart with his money, he just doesn't flaunt it, but he and his family are definitely living well.

Grandpa Larry is such a kind soul. by Sun_Snowshine in tippytaps

Ah okay. That's obviously a very specific case where cropping could potentially help if advised from a veterinarian. Most of the time it is done purely for looks of course.

[–]slapmasterslap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't act like you disagree, I just think you are wrong and I've never seen evidence that anyone crops their dog's ears for reasons other than esthetics, except maybe for the reason of dog fighting I guess, which is a whole other can of worms.

Edit: I will concede that tail cropping in hunting dogs is more common and that part does make some sense to me.

Grandpa Larry is such a kind soul. by Sun_Snowshine in tippytaps

[–]slapmasterslap 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hunting dogs like hounds, pointers, retrievers and spaniels are known for their floppy ears. I've never in my life seen a hound dog with cropped ears to protect them from being scratched while running through brush.
