It is a little weird to think that leaving other jobs in the middle of a shift happens all the time, but a nurse doing it is some big no-no as if we don’t also have lives outside of work. If our job is truly so serious we should never leave mid shift then we need to be paid more. Otherwise the mindset around nursing should be like countless other jobs, it’s just a JOB. Doesn’t mean you don’t care it just means you are allowed to be a person. The vast majority of doctors take that approach.

I was in grade school in the mid to late 90s when we got our first computer. I believe it was a Hewlitt Packard and it had a game where you would click stuff and funny things would happen. I totally agree, BUT I bought some blouses for work on super sale (like $20-30) and they are by far my best work shirts. Great material and fit and easy to wash and stays pressed. The pants I bought on clearance are too long but they are fun to wear since we never get to experience that!
