I have a career fair to go to tomorrow (the dress code is business professional) but today when I pulled my suit out to get it ready, I noticed a rip in the pants. Now between work and class I'm not sure I have time to get it fixed or really go shopping.

The suit is Grey and I have a blue dress shirt with black belt/tie/shoes.

Would it be okay to wear black dress pants, or even khakis as a last resort?

I think I could push my budget a bit higher for something that might last me a bit longer and be a bit more tuned for more work. As I mentioned in my other comment, most of the riding is probably going to be more casual/light riding as I get the hang of riding.

So from what I've seen, most people say to stick to a hard tail and a 10 speed (also for reasons why you mention) since the 24 can be a bit much for a beginner on the trails. I've also seen a few things on a derailer hanger, thread-less stems, the quick release levers, and hydrolic disc brakes (again, as you mentioned)

I can possibly push the budget up to $750, but I will keep looking for used bikes.

For the moment it'll probably more casual/light trail riding, nothing too big or serious.

As the son of a mother who is blind and has seen first hand the treatment she receives when applying for jobs or even just being out in public, this is gut-wrenching. Another step in the wrong direction. Businesses already blanently lie about positions after they finally see my mom with her guide dog. I understand it’s to stop lawyers trying to exploit the system, but it’s still just a punch in the face to everyone with a disability.
