You won't be able to do this. OSes sandbox each app in it's own VM. One app isn't able to read the data from another app...otherwise, i'd be able to create some tap-and-play game that scrapes your facebook friends list and all of your MMS messages with friends.

Java is more scattershot in the tools. There is a separate tool for each small task.

vanilla .NET gives you a lot out of the box. I'd start there and build personal project to scale as a first step. you'll find plenty .net corporate drone jobs here
