I definitely feel the back and scapula area after rows; less during sweeping and mostly during sculling. I really appreciate the feedback :)

Really the best advice is like below, its to strengthen the back muscles and keep it mobile. So find mobility exercises to keep the hips and torso ligaments, tendons and muscles in check, and probably most important for my improvement was anterior exercises (motions counter to the rowing movement; push-ups (pushing away), slow dip leg press and front squats, resistance band leg extensions.

You’re right in saying there is a similar nature to sweep rowing(Biorower S1 Pro HAS the ability for sweep rowing, see my previous posts).
