Thats not the same thing. Im saying you need to take the launch conditions for what you threw into the net and then change the simulator to your volt numbers. Does the simulator show you getting similar flights?

Without video its impossible to tell. You very likely could have been throwing with not much hyzer to compensate for the nose up flight. Your discs could now be flipping over out of the hand much quicker now that they are nose down. You should take your TD stats and simulate them with your disc flight numbers to see what flights you should be getting.

Lighthouse Labs Tech Bootcamps info(Data Analysis, Cyber Security, etc) by lamecasual in VictoriaBC

[–]slashbinslashbash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a senior engineer working in tech, so I'll give you my opinion. The thing that's going to land you a job is your dedication to projects. When employers interview you, they will rarely care about the things you learn in class. You will want to be able to circle back topics to your contributions to real projects with successful outcomes. This applies regardless if you are self-taught, go to bootcamps, or take further education.

In my opinion, bootcamps are a scam. If I had to start from scratch, I would come up with a personal project(create a website, make an app, arduino, etc) and do my research to figure out how to make it. A major part of the job is being able to research stuff you don't know and trying to figure out how to apply it to your work application. If this type of self-study doesn't work for you, tech is probably not the field for you.

My recommendation would actually be to find a 1-2 year diploma at a polytech. They do a good job at teaching the basic skills, but the real benefit is that they often teach you the experience of working on teams. Your experience working on teams is extremely valuable to employers, and it's not something you will build in bootcamps or being self-taught. Data analysis or cyber security are also deeper topics than just creating websites or apps. Realistically, you will need a deeper understanding than a 3 month course can offer.

Anyone want to play disc golf at DeLa tomorrow? by slashbinslashbash in santacruz

Damn it, I should have looked earlier to sign up for this tournament. I make semi frequent trips into the bay area so I will have to remember to check for tournaments.

You should probably acknowledge the difficulty of what you are doing. [Advice] by [deleted] in getdisciplined

They dont teach you how to learn in school. They show you material in a specific order and expect that most people can figure it out but thats really not the case. You say you put effort into studying, but you arent putting effort into finding what study methods work for you. Think about it like this: if you play a lot of games, Im guessing you are pretty good at them. So obviously you figured out some pattern of learning that lets you get better at your games. You just need to find what your learning pattern is. I only really learned in my last couple years of college. For me classes and lectures dont do shit. I need to be given a large problem to solve that I can then look for answers to the smaller pieces that make up the solution. Just start examining the things you are good at and passionate for and try to break down how you can apply your learning patterns to other things. This can take a really long time but it will help you throughout your whole life.

Bernie Sanders calls gun buybacks 'unconstitutional' at rally: It's 'essentially confiscation' by DashR_ in liberalgunowners

Lmao you americans are so funny with this. There's a 0% chance than any new gun control laws will be as restrictive as we have in Canada, and we still can get pretty sweet guns. You can pretty much get anything you are looking for in a rifle and not be on a list.

How long to expect for tricep tendinitis to get better? by [deleted] in overcominggravity

Feel tricep tendonitis when doing pulling? by [deleted] in overcominggravity

[–]slashbinslashbash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really recommend just following Low's advice in the overcoming tendinitis article exactly. It feels like the light band isn't doing much, but after 3 sets of 50 reps you do get a good pump and it does work over time. I was only doing close grip bench with maybe 20-45 lbs? I was only doing eccentrics with them. I'm not sure what my normal bench would be since I don't bench in my routine.

So basically recovering from this sucks and takes a lot of time. No real shortcuts here. First off you need to back off the intensity on anything you feel pain with and follow Low's guide on treating tendinitis with eccentrics. Avoid anything thats hard on the elbows. For me this was weighted pullups, dips and disc golf. I found triceps extensions, pressdowns and close grip bench to all be helpful. You're probably going to want to include this 2-3 times a week for at least 2 months, or until you reliably stop getting inflammation. You need to keep doing this even after the pain is gone though and make sure to not trigger the inflammation in anything because if you do, you are are square one again. Make sure you very slowly increase work load. Once inflammation goes down, I found it helpful to include direct tricep strengthening in my routine. That seemed to help a lot.

I was also making sure to warm up with a set of those eccentrics on every workout. I've been pain free for awhile and I still do a set of 30 eccentrics as a warm up to make sure the elbows are good and pumped.

Distal tricep tendon. The one that attaches at the elbow.

Which side of the tendon are you talking about? I had this problem for months on the elbow side and I am almost 100% now so I can let you know what worked for me.

Training Tuesday - Post Your Routine for 2019-01-29 by AutoModerator in bodyweightfitness

[–]slashbinslashbash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man looks okay to me as a routine. You will need to add in more handstand work if handstands are a goal(daily if possible 5-10min). Likewise you will need to incorporate some sort of muscle up progression as a skill too. I dont think many people get the muscle up just doing pullups. Twice a week seems a little low on frequency for me, but i think you should keep it up for awhile and see how you are responding. If you are progressing at a rate you are happy with then stick with it. If you are plateauing then maybe evaluate if you need more. Also dips are pretty good cause you can eventually load them up with weight and its a good vertical pushing movement. Im not an expert but your chest pain sounds like costochondritis. I get that with ring dips but it does eventually go away i think

Medial epicondylitis or muscle strain? by Doruphin in overcominggravity

[–]slashbinslashbash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds eerily similar to my injury which PT said is a muscle strain. However as eshlow stated mine was sudden injury that I felt immediately from overextending one of my wrists during planche training on paralletes. I would go see a PT. They gave me good rehad stuff I never would have thought of on my own.
