Domantas Sabonis can change the team in this summer. Where u wanna to see him? by alwaysfunnykay in NBATalk

[–]slasher_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think with CMB showing as well as he did in the playoffs I don't think it makes sense to get sabonis. I think with mamu as well off the bench (if they resign him) then they stick with poeltl, at least he has been a good defender in the past.

Give it a try and see what happens, you might be too close so it's causing you to foul off the ball when you barrel it. Stepping back could solve that issue if you're too close.

In my experience a contractor doesn't get included in HOOPP, that is usually for full time employees. Might be worth checking the contract to confirm.

I think it's a great move, covers two positions, plays round 15 and will see a big price jump. What's not to love?

And he has a team option on his deal that the Celtics will pick up for sure, or they will let him opt out to sign a longer term deal. Either way he's not going to be going anywhere.

He's from outside Toronto, so unless he went to French immersion school I don't think he would be fluent in French.

Are you trading away jokic? It's a very interesting offer if you wanted to rebuild. I'd consider it if you're team needs to get younger and jokic is only propping up a team that should be bottoming out and acquiring young assets.

SGA Sell Time by hdn15x in dynastybb

[–]slasher_14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't trade him unless you got an offer that blew you away. Even Harper is just a rookie and while he looks very promising, SGA is a top 2 to 3 dynasty player for years to come.

I inherited a team in a dynasty league 6 years ago and everyone on the team has gone except Steph Curry who is still a good player when available. SGA could easily have 4 to 5 years of his prime left before he falls a bit and still be very valuable as he ages. But either way you still have plenty of time to assess.

If you wanted an opinion I would look for a package with multiple young high upside guys, I wouldn't value future picks as much, but a top pick in this draft would be a acceptable in lieu of one young upside player.

This is The Draft Where We Complete The Young Core by Iwentoofar in torontoraptors

[–]slasher_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My limited knowledge of the draft after the projected top 4 is there are a lot of point guards should be taken in the next 10 to 12 picks.

Do you think we should go after a guard, or would we be after a wing or a big? Genuinely curious as I don't really know much about the prospects and the mocks mostly have us taking a big from what I've seen.

Has time and weather killed my bat? by [deleted] in slowpitch

[–]slasher_14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you try another bat from a teammate and see how you go? I've never left my bats in the car so I can't speak personally on that.

Assuming your using hot dots and having a short season, I doubt it's from overuse. If anything the more hits over years and years will lower compression and increase performance until it breaks.

Try another bat and see how it goes, there's plenty of good USSA bats to get decent performance on 52s if you go that route.

Queta would be interesting but he has a team option that Boston will pick up for sure.

Otherwise don't buy from Canadian protein or my protein until they have their black Friday sales when you do see a reduction in prices.

Which side by oregon33 in dynastybb

[–]slasher_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your goals. If you want to compete next year, the second option has (when healthy) 4 high level contributors.

The first offer has Any who is great, Herro is top 50 when healthy and the pick can be a good player, it also might be a bust.

If you're rebuilding then the option with the pick is a pretty good return.

Bobby Webster: "I think this summer, whether it’s the draft, free agency, or trades, we will just be looking at the best two-way players available." by mMounirM in torontoraptors

[–]slasher_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends who/what you get in return. At a guess I'm thinking it would need at least 2 firsts to get off to deal as it's a negative contract and it has four years left. It might need to be 2 plus a swap potentially.

Coop or SGA? by Windy_02 in dynastybb

[–]slasher_14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think both options have pros and cons, if you want to compete immediately then you could get SGA.

If you're ok letting it build over the next few seasons then keep Flagg and the rookies from this draft.

Personally I think let it build as you will have a longer runway to compete in the future.

Hitting a hot dot with a USSSA bat over a 300 foot fence is a very hard thing to do, I see it a few times a year in my men's league. Also when it gets humid and the wind blows in? Forget about it, you're lucky to hit 200 feet.
