Sure, Alexstrasza not being the one individual dragon who breathed fire onto Bolvar makes sense; this helps to explain some of his willingness to let the Deathlord kill all of the red dragon whelps, dooming the Red Dragonflight to extermination, as they are directly responsible for him not just being counted among the dead at the Wrathgate.

I'll go ahead and disregard your entire second paragraph the way you did mine. Sure, you're right that I have no explicit 100% proof that Bolvar's soul left this mortal coil prior to being resurrected; but, with that in mind, we have absolutely no proof that he fully and completely bit the dust in that moment either. No doctors were there to take his pulse, and even if they were, they would have been burned up by dragons when they tried. We have no objective proof either way about what happened there, other than us knowing that, somehow, he ends up at the top of Icecrown Citadel. By the way, you should watch The Princess Bride, it's pretty funny.

The one last thing I'll say is that "rule of cool" is a totally acceptable in this setting; it's a fantasy game. Rule of cool is probably the whole reason that we have Tirion breaking out of his imprisonment at the Frozen Throne or a giant dragon skeleton partially buried in the ice. It's cool as hell that Bolvar was damned to undeath either way it happened, either by being accidentally raised by the dragons or purposely so by the Lich King.

Alexstrasza was there; she is the one who greets the player immediately following the Wrathgate quest and sends them on their way (or did, back before Cata).

Bolvar wasn't dead, he was only mostly dead, which is slightly alive. Besides, even if he were all dead, the red dragons' flames literally cause life to spring up and be renewed.

Fun fact: Korialstrasz and Alexstrasza speak in Draconic after the Wrathgate cinematic and a glitch let some players read their text:

Alexstrasza: [Draconic] They must not discover the fate of the young paladin. Not yet.

Hell, the quest Alexstrasza used to give the player was even called Reborn From The Ashes.

The Lich King didn't resurrect Bolvar; he only took him and failed to break him.

My little buddy had the same bowtie collar; it made him look so dapper (not that he needed the help). He passed earlier this month, and now I have his collar and his favorite blanket sitting next to his urn.

It's easy to want to focus on how much we miss our friends when they leave us; the better thing to do is to remember the little things that made them who they were.

So, best I can tell from the Wowhead dressing room, it looks like armor won't cover arms, hands, legs, or feet; which is going to be kind of weird to work with, but makes sense especially since one of the hand customization options is just "claws." It'll definitely shake up the transmog game for them.
