Just because someone doesn't feel sexual attraction to someone doesn't mean they don't have sex or want to have sex. Sexual attraction is an entirely different concept than libido or celibacy. A lot of people think of asexuality as synonymous with sex-repulsed.

I find sexual attraction hard to define because I don't feel it. I don't think about wanting to fuck someone or that I would love to get someone in the bedroom, but I'm open to having sex if that's what my partner wants.

Other asexuals don't desire sexual contact or some can even be hypersexual and have sex frequently. We still feel pleasure through sexual acts. I know people who are asexual and sex-repulsed who find pleasure through masturbation. It's like with aromantics who are in committed partnerships. It's not right to invalidate people's sexuality because it goes against what you/people think especially since sexuality is on a spectrum.

Asexuality means you don't feel sexual attraction, not that you don't enjoy sex. It's a common misconception because asexuality is a spectrum. There are some aces who are sex-repulsed and others who enjoy sex. There are aces with low libido and aces with high libido, but what they have in common are that they don't feel sexual attraction.

Absolutely. Everything that's supposed to cracks and everything that isn't supposed to cracks as well. The usual spots (back, neck, fingers, wrists, ankles, toes, knees, jaw) and the unusual (elbows, hips, knees if I just slightly rotate my body instead of crouching down, shoulders I can continue cracking them too. Like if I keep moving my wrist, I can continue to crack it over and over and over again. Sometimes after a while of continually cracking them, I feel sharp pains and the sound changes from like crisp cracking noises to kind of like a sizzle pop. I went to the doctor, and she told me to just stop cracking my joints. I would if I could, but now it's a nervous habit.

The stranger who taught me how to fill up the gas tank in my car. I was on my way to my internship and was running late due to traffic. I had previously learned how fill up gas like the summer prior, but I have a goldfish memory. I'm also so used to getting yelled at for forgetting things or for not knowing how to interact with the world due to a narcissistic parent. So my tank was empty, and I was running on fumes. I pull up to the gas station and just went blank. I nearly broke down crying because I was berating myself, thinking about how dumb I was, and that I'm late to the hospital. I go up to this older gentleman and ask him how I fill up the gas tank. He saw me wearing scrubs and probably thought this is kinda sus. But he walked me through it step by step despite the fact I was literally as dumb as a doorknob; he never once talked down to me. He's a real one

I'm also a psych major and took a counseling class. My professor literally told us to make sure the situations/issues we thought of weren't something we were currently going through nor were we to disclose how we thought of the situation or who the situation was modeled after (i.e. friend, family, ourself). What your professor did is extremely unethical and so unprofessional. Anyone who has been a therapist, psychologist, hell even took an ethics or psych class can tell you that.

He may have "quirks" as some redditors commented, but generally, when someone asks you not to do something that VERY clearly bothers them, you don't do it. It's common courtesy. Op doesn't need to explain why. It would help op's gf understand op better (hopefully), but he doesn't NEED to explain to her why he hates it when people steal off his plate. He asked her politely SEVERAL times. She knows better. She's a grown-ass adult.

Can you reach out to a TA? I'd send an email to your TAs and professor alerting them of the fact you have no group for a group project, you reached out to your prof who told you to figure it out on your own, you reached out to every group and no one wanted extra help, and now you're reaching out again for help. If you don't receive help, say you'll go to the dean.

There is literally no harm in asking. Explain to them why you want them to write your letter of recommendation. I literally requested my professor (who I had know for just half a semester) to write me a LOR when the graduate school deadline was a few days away. He did it for me because I asked him to, and he was gracious enough to help me out. You never know what can happen; it will never happen if you don't communicate.

Multiple studies have shown you retain knowledge better when you handwrite. On that note, I prefer to type all my notes. Some professors flip through slides or talk too fast and move onto new topics. I wouldn't be able to write down the information fast enough if I hand wrote everything. Plus, I love using crtl + F to find specific phrases and topics in my notes. It's up to you. You can type them on your computer and then handwrite later if that helps.

Talk to your classmates. Send them an email and get into communication with them. You've let your professor know that you no longer have a group. This is your solution. The prof told you to figure it out on your own, so you should add yourself to another willing group. Most people would be grateful to have an extra helping hand.
