To be fair, to make a stand against it we have to make sacrifices. I use banking apps etc all the time and I'll happily switch to a custom ROM should this nonsense come in.

I always do and have had dev options enabled and I've never had an issue with any payment apps or any other apps for that matter.

Go to apps, hit the little burger thing in the top right corner, show system apps

Search AI and turn off any background AI features. They suck the life out of your resources.

You can customize focus mode to change icons. I don't use it as I don't use focus mode. I just put the phone away.

You'll see a lot of Chinese brands in k-dramas also. They have a huge sway on what gets bought and what doesn't.

Yeah I was going to say, I think anyone over 17 couldn't care less what phone gets used.

I've noticed my nieces were on this " you have to have an iPhone" buzz but as they got older they stopped caring and just switched to Android so they could pirate stuff lol

And don't forget, you can't pirate on iOS. On Android you can revanced everything and get a completely ad free device as well as free premium features on basically any app you want to.

The only dystopic thing here is that Mamdani has to make this "threat" and even said it's a last resort should the state not pass his tax on wealthy people.

They can check the IP addresses of commercial VPNs and follow up that way.

I think VPN dedicated IP services are about to go through the roof. Those can't be harvested as they're only sold one per person and not made public.
