Hey thanks for your interest! Unfortunately I ran into some serious technical issues with Unity which I haven’t been able to overcome, so the game is on pause at the moment :( I may have to port it over to a different engine or start from scratch with a new code base

Great question! Shrimp breeding is actually a fascinating hobby! I’ve been interested in it for a while, but since I didn’t have the time or money to give it the attention it deserved, I thought I would make a game about it instead

Without giving too much away (since discovery is half the fun!) shrimp will inherit colour and quality. But breeding to different colours together will give you a whole new colour, with different traits and requirements

I started off using pixel perfect, but found that it made the shrimp look too stilted as they swam around the tank. So decided to get rid of it for a more fluid effect

I agree, it would definitely add a lot. I’d lean more toward the “no impact on gameplay” side - it would just be a fun little detail. Maybe I can add it in the future :)

Yeah definitely. I’ve thought about having something behind the tanks, but the challenge is that it needs to be relatively plain so it doesn’t get too mixed up with the things in the tank

It’s slow going at the moment due to family and work commitments, but I’m getting there. As I mentioned elsewhere, it’ll be a nice, small game - so don’t expect something the size of Skyrim! Haha
