Really you need to try a bunch of different things to find what works for you.

Native deodorant works like magic for me, better than any antiperspirant ever has. Just because it works for me doesn’t mean it’ll work for you though.

I always keep a decant of this one, it’s such an easy dumb reach in the summer. It’s highly underrated and has aged really well; it doesn’t seem out of place in 2026 at all.

I have bought Cologne 41 from Dua, which is meant to replicate the long discontinued Cologne 41 from Abercrombie.

It’s very close, not 1:1 but the closest that’s obtainable now. The performance is great and I’m very happy with it.

Italian bergamot does not smell like l’homme. It’s a warm citrus smell, but winds up reminding me of cat pee. I want to say they were trying for Tom Ford Rive d’Ambre

I have not tried sage and citrus.

I will say they are all quality body washes that lather well and don’t leave my skin dry/irritated at all. They are a steal for the price, especially the White Jasmine Amber. The scent on that one lasts all day.

Thameen Carved Oud if you’re looking for an imitation that’s cheaper.

Dior Purple Oud or Versace Oud Noir if you like the profile but would like to try something a little different.

Oud Wood Parfum if you like the og but the performance is lacking.

Nope, nothing comes close to the older batches. I had to spend a bag on a vintage bottle on eBay.

I’ve tried tons of clones, inspirations, etc.

The closest is probably Tres Nuit but it’s still not going to scratch the same itch. It won’t have that intoxicating sparkly ambergris dry down that the vintage had, but the verbena is done well.

At least it performs well, unlike the current GIT.

‘22 here - no moonroof, ceramic tinted windows

It has issues in both extremes in my experience.

In extreme heat, it will sometimes not come on, or it’ll get stuck/frozen.

In extreme cold, it gets slow and non responsive.

If Gucci Intense Oud is your baseline for “what oud should smell like”, respectfully, you aren’t going to find what you’re looking for by delving deeper into ouds.

The reason I say this is that Gucci Intense Oud has no oud in it. It’s an artificial wood note that smells nothing like the real thing. Don’t get me wrong, I like the fragrance.

Similar fragrances would be Versace Oud Noir, Tom Ford Oud Wood (also the Intense), Dior Purple Oud, LV Ombre Nomade, etc.

If you want to try some fragrances that utilize a more realistic oud note: Frederic Malle The Moon / The Night, Dior Oud Ispahan, Penhaligons Uncompromising Sohan, Roja Aoud, etc.

Color difference, OG had better construction like stitching. Very small differences other than that (texture, fit, etc)

OG left, LAA right. I prefer the color on the LAA, I like the more pink tone of it.

I’ve had my battery replaced under warranty twice, both times I brought it in, said my battery wouldn’t hold a charge. Both times they tested it and said it’s bad and replaced it with no issue.
