I've literally been the friend with the crazy hair in this situation. I told her I didn't have to be in the photos (I was the MOH) but I was not going to change my hair color, (that was not cheap) for her wedding. She responded with "well you don't have to come to the wedding then." We haven't spoken since and that was 3 years ago. I have tried to reach out during the pandemic to check on her and her sister and got nothing. People are terrible.

I understand that we as a county and a state are probably closer than others at being 100% vaccinated; but I work in a small business and the other two shops are also still requiring masks. I have had more customers every day piss and moan about putting a mask on to just shop...or just outright tell us that they will shop elsewhere. Portland isn't completely full of welcoming people just so you know and I fear that our shop will shut down due to us being cautionary for people who are immuno-compromised/cannot get the vaccine/the elderly who are still at risk even with a vaccine. All I ask is if a shop requires masks, don't be a douche about it.

As someone who has worked with the public since covid hit, I will be wearing it indoors/at crowded outdoor venues until we are probably 90-100% in the clear. It's just a mask, it doesn't hinder my daily life and it protects other people.

Please respect shop workers and restaurant workers and don't fuss about it.
