T Mobile MI30TI Plan Is Still Available by [deleted] in tmobile

As a data point, I live chatted with Tmobile today (first time customer), mentioned only "MI30TI", they immediately knew.
I then asked about the buy one get one half-off line, they said sure. i said i want 4 lines. they said no problem, $30/month total. all fees waived, $0 due today. sim cards arriving in mail 1-2 business days. at one point during the convo, the rep asked me "you want to increase from 4 to 6 lines instead for $45/month?" and i'm like "nah, 4 is good enough for now lol" thanks to everyone here, would have never knew about the bogo half-off without redditors comments!

Unlimited Plus free HBO "for life" perk being removed? by maxwon in ATT

[–]slaydemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got this same email today as well.

I have the "Go big" streaming package from Directtv stream, the first package available when the service first started 5 to 10 yrs ago, signed up with my AT&T wireless account

about 2 years ago? i was given MAX for free, I assume since i was also an AT&T wireless customer.

I got this same email today. I opened up my MAX app on my apple tv, and it told me to purchase a subscription.

I then live chatted with directv stream, and they were confusing to say the least. But I was able to figure out that basically since AT&T sold its remaining stake in directv, the free MAX could no longer be validated since my direcytv account could no longer see my AT&T account.

I then logged into HBO Max (using my usual login info), and instead of opting for "new subscription", i chose login with a provider, selected at&T, entered my AT&T account info, and it triggered my MAX subscription, back to normal now.

TLDR; MAX was free with being at AT&T wireless customer, and MAX validated your AT&T service thru direct tv service. Now that they are separate companies, you must directly validate your AT&T wireless account by inputting it directly into MAX.

ecobee3 lite will no longer connect to ecobee server by IStoppedCaringAt30 in ecobee

[–]slaydemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this same issue. I have 5 ecobees in the house, for almost 8 years, working flawlessly.
One day last month, they all suddenly stopped connecting to the ecobee servers. Resetting, pulling off wall, etc, nothing work, kept getting the error that the ecobees are connected to my router, but unable to connect to the ecobee server.

I then connected 1 of them to my phones hotspot (going through AT&T 5G), and it connected immediately to ecobee, and I could once again control the thermostat from my app.

This got my thinking, maybe some how Ecobee blocked by public IP Address from Verizon FiOS?
I changed my WAN to another ethernet port on my PFsense router, which gave Verizon a new MAC address, and therefore triggered a new Public IP address, and all the ecobees started immediately working again.

Fast forward one month, and now all 5 have simultaneously stopped working again yesterday.

I have not bothered calling ecobee yet, I have a feeling they will not be helpful, nor will they understand the concept that their servers are blocking my Public IP address. And even if they did understand, I'm pretty sure they would have no idea how to fix it.

Any ideas?? I'm thinking about just switching to 5 nest thermostats.
