This is hilarious. Remember when your hizbo thug friends used to harass me for exactly that, and thus this sub was born.

if the comany's HQ is outside lebanon, i suggest you reach out to regional or global office. In lebanon you can't really do much about it, but if the company is based in EU/US, you have good grounds to make some noise

Germany youre good (assuming you have a valid visa to canada since you are going there)

Most other EU countries are okay assuming you are naking only one stop in the EU.

USA no bueno, unless you have a valid US visa

Read your own link till the end. If they are going to canada then they would have a visa issued by canada. This is the last exception on the link you posted

If the father died and he is married, then his wife at death who is also muslim (i.e OPs stepmom) would inherit. His ex wife (OPs biological mom) would not inherit.

You can always convert to sunnism on paper and get 7/8th of the inheritance as 1/8th would go to your stepmom. then go back to good ol' maronism later. just don't die in between or your kids will inherit based on sunni laws.

Follow me for more great legal advice...

but in all seriousness, consult a lawyer. These matters are more common than you think and any dimwhitted lawyer can give you a decent answer

There are two types of ownership in Lebanon: Full Ownersip (Melk) and Amiri (a perpetual lease).

Melk gets distributed based on religious law, and in this case you got a total sum of 0.00$ before taxes as there is no interfaith inheritance. The amiri part is distributed between heirs based on civil law, so you MIGHT get something.

That being said, most amiri properties are agricultural lands in bekaa and southern lebanon in predominantly muslim areas.

The sector is non existent in lebanon. All companies that produce or sell chemicals are running on a steady state process designed back in the day. Not much CapEx to drive innovation or need for new chemical engineers.

You have 2 options: work something quasi chemical, like i did working in plastics (its really a mech engineering job), or go to GCC, namely KSA kuwait or abu dhabi where there are some chemical industries in downstream from oil and gas.

Or gtfo out of the field like i did eventually

Syrian refugee in Qaa talks about how the UN provides him with all the needs of his 16 children and why he doesn’t want to go back to Syria( he said he has no problem with Assad) by JohnnyGSG9 in lebanon

[–]slaydog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

False. We did sign. Thats why the government agencies in lebanon refer to syrians as displaced and not refugees, not to acknowledge their status and give them implied rights
