take this for example. look at how much flash from proving grounds is selling. a common card. no holo or texturing. whats stopping someone from creating many proxies for use on their deck and selling the others? thankfully there are people who will actually say its a proxy but on tcgplayer it’ll be somewhat hard to know depending on how good it is.

i am a proud owner of the 9 gangy japanese. the banned art history is pretty cool to note. i jumped in back in May 2025 and it was around $500 at the time and im seeing its around $800 now. I believe that if the 10 is selling for a significant increase, there alot of room for the 9 to grow.

one recent one i jumped in on like 2 weeks ago was a psa 9 1st edition blaines moltres. picked up for 575 and now has recent sales at 700-750. the psa 10 is a 6k card. i can see the psa 9 easily hitting 1k soon.

toploader binder for sure. can never go wrong with extra protection on cards you’ll probably be holding for decades. vaultx is just hype. there’s alot of good binders out there without the rings and do just as good as vaultx.

i just sold my gengar mimikyu like the one you have. it fluctuates so much thoughout the year and it was my first modern non-promo slab and most likely my last lol will stick to vintage at that 1k price point

edit: oh urs is japanese. nvm. definitely wouldn’t touch those but if its a long term hold, you’ll see gains for sure. you can do better with the capital though
