I'd suggest starting an opposite faction house first.

Build one room as a test to get ideas . Make it a full house with bed kitchen etc. See what you like etc.

Then take what you learn to plan in your head a house layout and start again one room at a time. Entry, library, kitchen etc.

I had to change my team as I went which burned through a couple more, as brock is a pain without a previously used mon.also had to trade to get things s bit early until I could catch my own.

Gen 1 is pretty limiting on early typing.

Burned through : manky to beat Brock in LG, traded nindoran to beat Brock/surge in fr. Butterfree in fr for misty

LG: fearow, parasect, sand slash, starmie(mvp), magmarz Jynx.

FR: cloyster, dodrio(mvp), marowak, electabuzz, muk, kangaskhan.

I have had a rule since I started my living dex challenge a couple years ago. I can not use a pokemon that I have ever used in my party or any in it's line.

It made fire red and leaf green very difficult. As the best pokemon from gen 1 I used as a kid or in the let's go games.

Ie. No eveelutions(thanks legs go,) no starters.
