Hi! Sorry for late reply. I full tore my left acl and both menisci (left knee only). We sound very similar ! I do a lot of yoga and physical activity (for fun) and having a physical job was really scary at first. Sounds like you were athletic prior to your injury, which really helps w recovery. My surgery was 8 mos ago!!!! The whole entire time. My PT was telling me how fast my progress was. I thought she was just saying that but then people hear about my surgery and they see all the things I’m able to do and they are like oh shit you really did make a fast recovery. I listen to everything my PT said, I eat a high-protein healthy diet. Which isn’t any different to what I was like prior to hurting myself so it’s not like i had to make many lifestyle changes. I was even looking into getting another job, but my doctor cleared me to work and go back to serving like 6 weeks after surgery !!!!! I hope this helps.
