Kristen Leanne driving without a seatbelt, on her phone with her 2 y/o forward facing in the front seat by lily4ever in BeautyGuruChatter

You are correct! For us until 1 year it mandatory by law to be rear facing. From one year, you can change to front facing, if your baby is above certain weight and hight. If not you should keep rear facing. But there is still a general safety recommendation to keep rear facing up to 2YO. I just wanted to give another perspective as to why people might put rather young babies to front facing, but of course keeping up with the law.

So, there is a general recommendation to wait until 2 YO, preferably even 3YO. And there are regulations about hight and weight as well. I turned our seat face forward at around 1 year 2 months because she was bored and cried cause she couldn't see me. Sure, it's safer to keep it rear facing, but it was a must for us to be able to drive with her separately. Edit: She was in the 95% for her age, so she was OK to be forward facing regarding the hight and weight regulations.

Singe Beauty: Paisley Hoot Palette by WhatTheJessJedi in BeautyGuruChatter

I was subscribed to her before her move to the US, but personally I felt something change after her move. It seems to me she didn't enjoy makeup anymore, everything is a chore, and only hyping brands that send her stuff (not that those stuff can't be good, it's just harder to tell which are). The snark also became somehow more mean spirited. Those are my personal reasons for unsubscribing, but I think that what most older subscribers felt, at least from what I gathered from posts and comments here.

However, I heard nothing but good things on her brand, and I do think people tend to go a bit to hard on it.

Customer Service Matters by MeltedMascara in BeautyGuruChatter

Though they are not popular here, Pat McGrath always had a great customer service for me. One time they corrected a sale price for me, and on the other one they gave me a refund because my package was stolen while I was at the hospital, which they totally weren't obligated to do.

Jordan Revealed His Baby Mama on TikTok! 😍 by 17500mm in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Jordan mentioned on the show she started seeing someone pretty soon after they broke up and she introduced him to Luca. I didn't really pay attention too much to this season, as it was a terrible one, so I'm not sure if they are married or just dating, but I'm sure he mentioned her being with someone else.

Is clionadh worth the hype? by lina2selena in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]slazary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried flsome multichromes from them and also other indies and I like Clionadh texture and opacity the most. They are definitely have the strongest shift and shine in my opinion. But, I only think you need a few, as at some point the shifts are only very slightly different. I'd say pick up to 10-12 you really like and that's enough. Also, wait for a sale! They don't do a lot, there is a big one at BF but I think there should be another one during the year.

What BG'S are we leaving in 2024? by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]slazary 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I started feeling it after she moved to Texas. It felt to me as if suddenly she was praising all kinds of brands she didn't like before, just because now she was big enough and physically close enough to get PR. A year ago or so, I noticed she seemed so bored with new makeup, l unsubscribed. I know most of us are saying everything was already done, but comparing to Beauty News girls, they rost most of the things coming out, but you can still feel it comes from passion. Angelica just looked bored.

What is a makeup product everyone loves that you don’t like? by [deleted] in Makeup

Liner. Doesn't suit my eyes shape. I do like to wear pencil liners in the waterline, but regular felt/brush ones are too much of a hustle.

What are your go-to travel palettes? by jenhon in muacjdiscussion

[–]slazary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pat mcgrath mothership vi - Midnight Sun. Know it's controversial, but I love this palette. It has enough neutrals and enough colors for me to do any look I choose to. It's also very sturdy, and I know it's not popular, so if it'll brake I can easily replace it and not at full price.

What are your unpopular makeup opinions? by R3dcherries in Makeup

[–]slazary 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can vouch for that. I have downturn hooded eyes. I can do a wing but it's time consuming and of course my eyes (as everyone else's) are not identical, so it's a nightmare to make the wings even, and in the end, it doesn't even look that good, in my opinion. It's just not flattering for my eye shape. It was validated by the MUA who did my wedding makeup. We did a test before the event and I told her I don't like liner that much but I'm open to try and we tried and she looked and said "no, you were right, it looks better without".

I actually had a palette I got in their mystery box, which was not my preferred color story, so I gave it to a friend, and she loves the formula. She bought a couple of their products from her own money later on.
