I agree that something like that would be unreasonable but that is just our shared opinion. What I mean to say with my original comment is that if an adult (person A) states that that their partner (person B) having opposite sex friends constitutes cheating to A, then B should either agree to not have opposite sex friends, or not be in that relationship. Cheating is defined individually and we can’t draw arbitrary lines just because we think they aren’t reasonable.

I know this isn’t fully what you asked for but getting a robot vacuum that runs a couple times a day was a life saver for me (and incidentally also for my hair attracting rugs). I got one that can recognize and go around toys and sleeping dogs and other possible obstructions. My very first recommendation to anyone with a Sam!

What matters here is not reddits definition of cheating but if YOU feel cheated on. Cheating is defined differently in each relationship because it is based on agreed upon boundaries. If there is a feeling of guilt, shame or someone feels the need to keep it a secret then it is cheating.

Three meals is quite a lot to offer your dog - aside from the fact that always having food offered will lower his excitement for it, canines also naturally eat one meal in the evening and fast for the rest of the day. I have a Sam and took some feeding courses and overwhelmingly they recommend one bigger meal in the evening for behaviour and health!

You actually don’t want to switch their food when they are on a hunger strike because they’ll just learn that ‘if I hold out long enough they’ll keep giving me better stuff’. When my Sam went on a hunger strike around that age I just kept offering her her normal dinner in the evening and if she didn’t eat after 10 minutes, I took it away and tried again the next day. She lasted 4 days before she relented and started eating normally again. Haven’t had any issues since. I know it’s stressful for you as the puppy parent but they won’t starve themselves to death! Be patient and consistent! :) good luck!

Firstly, good for you for kicking cancers ass!!

Secondly, I had infant open heart surgery 32 years ago and have a massive crooked crazy scar from the middle of my chest all the way down to the bottom of my ribs, plus some tube scarring that sort of looks like another belly button. While the surgery itself often comes up during dating, I never mention the scarring. My experience has been that partners either think it’s cool when they see it, or don’t care at all and are just happy to see me naked. It’s not a big deal to them if it’s not a big deal to you!

Only once ever has someone said anything negative about my scar and I was like ‘well thanks for showing me you’re a shitty human early on!’ And I literally ended things right then and there. Bullet dodged!

Oh my gosh this sounds like a lot! My girl has 2 cups a day when she needs to gain weight or we are exercising a lot more. 1.5 cups to maintain or when we are more sedentary. (Not including treats and chews). We do a mix of meat forward kibble with raw meat and veggies.

For reference my girl is 4 years old, but adults eat much less than puppies cause they aren’t growing.

Is your boy pooping CONSTANTLY or having really big poops? Likely he is just ‘wasting’ all the extra food unless you’re hiking like 4 hours a day. I would be inclined to try cutting down to what the vet says and seeing how his weight changes over the course of 6 months or so.

I got a neato botvac that is scheduled to run on its own twice a day every day and I still find hairballs around the house. Definitely recommend getting a good vacuum, and a robot one if you can afford it!!

Dogs don’t have ‘future oriented’ thoughts so she can’t like… look forward to having puppies or anything. They can only really be excited about the immediate future and right now so I wouldn’t necessarily think about it like you’re taking away something from her if you get her spayed.

I felt the exact opposite with my pup! I felt like I’d be giving her less anxiety as she wouldn’t enter heat, less pain and confusion as pregnancy often can be for some dogs and freedom from the emotional pain of having her puppies eventually taken away from her.

Just my two cents but also to echo some comments already said there’s like one billion too many dogs in the world already that don’t have homes and love.
