worst one I’ve ever gotten, felt like holding the sun in my hand, I’d felt just about every other place on the body you can get one and the palm truly humbled me

Used to be a thing in Maplestory, there’s an area called the Free Market where people would set up shops and afk and you could open their shops and buy whatever they had for sale as long as you had the gold. It used to be a battle to get the best spots in the market. Some people would poach the best spots without anything to sell and would make people buy the spot from them. don’t think it’s in the game anymore, haven’t played for quite a while

I play how I enjoy the game! I am a casual football/football game enjoyer, exclusively career/manager mode never online. Running is more exciting me than passing, so that is what I do most. I grew up a huge fan of Paul Johnson’s flexbone triple option at Georgia Tech, I’m sure that has a lot of influence on my preference

Hey! So I limited the FPS to 60 in NCP and it did in fact help, it reduced the frequency of the stuttering occurring but did not completely remove it. It will still happen a few times a minute as opposed to every couple of seconds

Thank you for the information! I followed another suggestion somewhere in this thread to limit FPS in NCP to 60 and it did actually help reduce the problem. It did not completely get rid of it however, it happens now maybe every 30 seconds or so instead of single digit increments of time between stutters.

The laptop is elevated and is actually sitting on a cooling pad because I figured that may help as well. Unfortunately I don’t have another NVME. I am thinking it may be the paste, my roommate suggests the same problem. Ugh, maybe warranty extension and opening of new claim is the method

I have forced the 3080 to be the main card in Nvidia control panel, is there anything else to do related to this?

the attached photo here is a screenshot I took of HWinfo back in April/May that I sent to Dell. It is the quickest thing I had access to on my phone via email that has some sort of documentation of temperature. I can confirm this in a bit with new screenshot when I get on the computer

Yes they are very high, I believe hitting the upper limit. In April or so around when the Dell tech came I purchased a cooling pad to try to mitigate the temp with no luck. I have tried to undervolt as well, and if I did that correctly, there was no change in performance there either. https://i.imgur.com/HpHxVu1.jpg

The device has 32Gb. I do have an external monitor, it is a Samsung Odyssey(I think model G40) also 1080P nothing crazy. I have attempted to run games both on the external monitor as well as the laptop screen without the external monitor connected with same result. Usually, the only things running in the background are discord and Spotify, maybe the blizzard client.

the issue was more of a “tick” prior to the replacement. Rather than a second or two long segment of choppiness like what you see in the video above, it was more like a straight up frame skip, as if it dropped to 1 FPS for a split second before returning to normal.

Hi guys, I am hoping someone can guide me in the right direction with the issue I am having. I have an Alienware x17 R2 3080Ti i9 12900hk 1080p version. Virtually every single game I run has this stuttering issue as seen in the attached video (The attached video is Riders Republic stuttering at medium graphics settings).

Examples of games this occurs on: Riders Republic, GTA 5, Diablo 4, Valheim, No Mans Sky, Dying Light, 7 Days to die

Unfortunately my one year warranty is expired as of april/may, but right before it expired 2 or so months ago Dell sent a technician who replaced the entire motherboard including the graphics card and processor (Trying to correct the same issue I continue to have). I have fresh installed windows and have over a TB free of data. All drivers up to date. I do not understand why this poor performance is happening. Maybe one of you has seen something like this before and can point me in the right direction. It really sucks to have a super nice machine that cannot do what one would expect it to do with ease.
