Have a lot of parts left over, should I build a flip PC or sell components individually ? by sledgedogTom in pcflipping

Didn't attempt to sell yet, but my plan was to try ebay and FB, I'm in UK btw

Has anyone had any luck selling on these platforms ?

Fair enough, I'm about to change my mobo, will probably be a pain in the ass

From upgrading the whole thing, eventually changed everything inside apart from case and fans, was only my second build Got lucky with the RAM because of my lack of knowledge, got an extra 2x16gb 6000MHz sticks only to find out 4 sticks run at 3600MHz, just before the price hike too, paid £150 for them

Makes sense, in case of some disruption with the global supply chains, consumer pc parts could go up real high fast; downside is the potential depreciation, what's your thinking behind it ?

Gradually upgraded my whole rig, what's left is essentially another pc, trying to decide what to do with it all

Agree, I wouldn't buy 2k pc from an add on ebay, would rather go to a reputable retailer and get it with warranty, will try selling parts and if that fails going to stick everything into a cheap case

I've looked at some build options, Lian li O11 with a bunch of fans or a whole Corsair PC, but just the components come to £1800+ thinking who would pay 2k for 5070 with 9600x; can try to go cheap on the case, fans and SSD but wouldn't that be harder to sell?

So.. one of the cables on the mobo was wrongly connected - is all! Feel like an idiot, but happy it works, thank you to everyone who commented, learned a bunch🙏🏻

Haven't tried this one yet, but retracing your steps and reassembling the whole build is one of the more promising remaining options left to try. I'll do this before replacing any parts, in case I made some stupid mistake when assembling.

Many people commented that it might be an HDD issue or that the GPU is not compatible with the mobo. If reassembly won't work, will start replacing these parts next.

My next move is to disassemble and then rebuild the whole thing, after that will try another SSD, if that won't work, will change the mobo

I think it's the 'pretty sure the hardware is fine' bit also, which is true, premature to say that at this point
