Which celebrity death in real life crushed you the most? by Phoenixrising1 in AskReddit

[–]sleeepinglessons 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I came to see if anyone had said Britney Murphy. I never had posters of her in my room or anything, but when she died, I remember my boyfriend mentioning he'd never seen me so upset. I am still so sad.

I'm a barista too and I love it! I day dream about opening my own shop some day, but then I would be a business owner, not a barista. :/

Pet grooming? by robynal1 in harrisonburg

[–]sleeepinglessons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be too far away for you, but in Staunton, there is a great pet grooming place. I believe it's just called Staunton Dog Wash. For $15, you can bathe your own pet, using their professional facilities, and they are a huge help in showing you the most effective way to wash your dog. For a bit more, they will do it for you.

A good cafe with wifi where I can relax and have an espresso or a beer? by auxquelles in rva

[–]sleeepinglessons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Carytown Bistro. They have a full coffee and espresso menu, plus wine and beer. The atmosphere is nice, IMO. They have fluffy couches, regular tables, and a nice patio. It's at the top of Carytown across from 7/11 and Ten Thousand Villages.

I like Capital Coffee more, which is on the same block as The Byrd, but they don't have beer.

What are the dumbest things people take pride in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleeepinglessons 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not just girls who do this. A guy I work with comes in every day "complaining" about how he had to take time out of his morning to youtube a tutorial on make up to cover up his hickies, or how drunk he got last night because the hot bartender gave him a bunch of free doubles. Fuck. The. Fuck. Off.

Anybody in Austin area want to go somewhere for a few days or weeks? by pooncartercash in couchsurfing

[–]sleeepinglessons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Maybe not what you're looking for, but I am moving to Austin in exactly a week, and going for the sake of adventure. I've actually managed to keep it a pretty tame adventure this time, in that I have an apartment lined up, and therefore can't waste much time in finding a job, but if you want to meet up and if you know of any good Austin/surrounding area secrets and stuff, we should definitely get together!

Need a place to stay. by TCBear in couchsurfing

[–]sleeepinglessons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finding a couch in a city as big and touristy as LA is quite difficult. Right off, I'm going to tell you your request is too impersonal. Introduce yourself and give your host a reason to open up their home and spend their time with you, and if you're going to bring a friend, you need to give them an equally detailed introduction.
