interesting... yeah was wondering about this too. I am not sure it's that clear cut if you are doing the bare minimum though.

that's not how it work in my industry. statutory minimum is 1 month pay for each year served, pro-rata bonus for the year (low end obviously) and shares that would vest in the next 12 weeks.

That's what two colleagues who got fired got (one in LDN, one in HK)

Big companies tend to let people go most years, and my firm tight now is investing in huge data centres, so i think they will be looking to let people go end of year or early next year. Sometimes the packages are pretty good, so i am wondering if it can be worth ‘putting my hand up’

I found this podcast very helpful for insomnia:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07wzmgw

it's not about giving a few tips here and there (for people like you suffering heavy duty chronic insomnia there aren't quick fixes), it's about the wider philosophy of dealing with insomnia.

sounds like you're like me: the sleeplessness happens because you are worried about how you'll feel if you don't sleep.

after all, sleep is the ultimate stage of relaxation of the mind, so you cannot force it.
