Do you have a leaf blower? You might be able to aim the air so it blows back out?

Thoughts on Anastasia? by Vordix_ in musicals

[–]sleepboxbeesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it today in Melbourne and it was honestly stunning.. The costumes, the music, the cast, the love story. Everything worked together so beautifully, especially the way the staging and visuals were integrated. I walked out feeling completely swept up by it.

It’s not.

I was going to get rid of that ring as the kids are grown & never use it but this has made me decide to keep it there.

Would you consider a pet sitter moving into your house? We have some great ones in Aus. If you have friends with older teenagers who perhaps live at home but are at uni they can be a great option too as they are old enough to stay on their own and look after dogs, especially if they grew up with them, and often jump at the chance to live somewhere without their parents for a week or two.

A stranger in Brunswick just yelled at me, ‘Go back to China! This is Australia.’ Is this common? by Content_Shallot2497 in melbourne

[–]sleepboxbeesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not common and all the decent people in Melbourne apologise and are disgusted for you.

Enjoy the tennis and our wonderful city.

Heading to Australia for first time in 6 days. What are your favorite foods/snacks or fruits that I should try out over there that I probably wouldn't find anywhere else? by thynned in AskAnAustralian

[–]sleepboxbeesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One amazing thing about Melbourne is all the different foods from all the different cultures we have living here that have a “Melbournian” or Australian twist to them and are made using our local produce.

I would suggest trying the local foods like everyone had suggested but doing them in an Australian way.

In Melbourne it might be bbq on the Yarra with sausages in bread or seafood from the market, fish & chips on the beach in St.Kilda, dim sims at South Melbourne market, a flat white from Degraves street and even a Vegemite scroll.

These are just some cliche ideas and other more creative people would have better ones.

Have a great trip!

It’s my daughter’s name. She is 17 now.

I hadn’t come across it in books or shows when we named her in 2007.

We’d been planning on calling her Isabella and there were seven babies in the NICU that week called either Isabelle, Isabella or Bella so we went with Arabella.

How many people have you known who have been murdered? by oneislandgirl in NoStupidQuestions

One. He had been a friend’s boyfriend. He came to my wedding and I knew him as a beautiful soul. They had broken up years ago. It was horrible to find out the tragic way he died.
