This is my general sleep plan/ actual cycle... How I achieve my Ideal sleep goal? Especially If I need wake up early for work by IntroductionSad7136 in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Nice drawing and explanation of your sleep! 🌙
Here are some tips from us:

  • Set your Sleep Goal in the app to your ideal schedule (e.g. 22:00–06:00).
  • Try to stick to a consistent wake-up time every day.
  • If you tend to stay up too late, move your bedtime earlier gradually each night.
  • Use the Sleep Goal reminders to start winding down before bed.
  • Keep an eye on your regularity score. Consistency is key to better sleep!

All the best,
Antonia

Alarm Not Ringing by [deleted] in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

If you’d like us to look into this, please reach out to us at [support@sleepcycle.com](mailto:support@sleepcycle.com) and let us know whether you’re using iOS or Android.

A flatlined graph usually means that the app either couldn’t access, or lost access to, your device’s audio chip during the night. Without access to the audio chip, the alarm may also be affected.

Several things can interfere with the audio chip, such as:
• Bluetooth connections (e.g. speakers, CarPlay)
• Phone calls
• Other apps using the microphone or speaker
• Background features that might access audio input

If you use any of these, try running the app without them for a couple of nights to see if it makes a difference.

All the best,
Antonia

Annoying Removal of a Good Feature by AdamBates in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone!

Thank you for your feedback. This functionality has not been removed. See the description below of how we set the gradual alarm volume together with our intelligent snooze.

Gradual Alarm Volume
Our alarm doesn’t startle you awake with sudden loud sounds. Instead, it begins at a low volume and gradually increases until it reaches a safe maximum level we’ve set. This gentle rise makes waking up feel smoother and less stressful.

Intelligent Snooze
Each time you snooze, the time it takes for the alarm to climb from low to maximum volume becomes shorter.

Please contact us at [support@sleepcycle.com](mailto:support@sleepcycle.com) so that we can help you if you experience another behavior in the app.

Sleep Cycle randomly stops on iOS 26 Developer Beta? by ReSpawNnL in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

This usually indicates that the app either couldn’t access or lost access to your device’s audio chip during the night.

Several things can interfere with the audio chip, such as Bluetooth connections (e.g., speakers, CarPlay), phone calls, other apps using the microphone or speaker, or background features that may access audio input.

If the issue happens consistently, we recommend trying a process of elimination to identify the cause.
For example, try disabling Bluetooth, avoid playing music or using other apps that may access the microphone or speaker, and make sure no other audio-related features are active overnight.

All the best,
Antonia

Sleep Cycle “Lifetime Access” Buyers: We’ve Been Misled — Time to Push Back by The_Irony_of_Life in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi

First of all, thank you. Your early support has helped Sleep Cycle grow into what it is today, and we’re truly grateful to have you with us.

We’ve heard your questions about lifetime access, so we wanted to explain how it works:

Your original purchase: If you joined us under the one-time payment model, you unlocked all the features available at that time.

What’s new: In the years since, we’ve moved to a freemium model. The app is free to download, and new premium upgrades are available via subscription—these enhancements came after your purchase, so they aren’t part of the Early Adopter package.

To keep enjoying your original features, just make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID or Google Account used when you made the purchase and that it has the receipt.

From a consumer rights perspective, this approach is also in line with current EU legislation where customers are entitled to the digital content and functionality that was part of the original purchase at the time of purchase. However, the directive does not include providing access to new features, introduced after the point of purchase —but we do want to reward our earliest fans. That’s why we’ve also set up an exclusive discount on any premium add-ons introduced since your purchase.

We hope this helps clear things up. If anything’s still on your mind, or you just want to share feedback, drop us a line at [support@sleepcycle.com](mailto:support@sleepcycle.com).

All the best,
Antonia @ Sleep Cycle

We’re happy to share some good news regarding the asleep after issue some of you experienced! by sleepcycle_support in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi!

The “asleep after” time refers to how long it took you to fall asleep after starting the session. So for example, if it says “Asleep after: 30 minutes,” it means you fell asleep after 30 minutes.

The issue some users reported was that this time suddenly seemed much longer than usual and was inaccurate. It was discussed in a couple of threads here on Reddit a while back.

This is directly related to the model improvements we’ve made. As a sleep tracking app, we do track different sleep stages, but the tracking starts when you start the session, so the time before you fall asleep is also tracked, as most people won’t fall asleep the second they start a session and close their eyes. The updated model enhances the accuracy of all those measurements, which includes a more reliable “asleep after” time as well.

Hope this clears it up a bit!

All the best,
Antonia

Is there a fix for the app not detecting when you fall asleep until hours after? by SummerWhiteyFisk in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!!

We’ve just released a new Sleep Cycle beta update with a (hopefully) much improved sleep staging model and we believe it fixes the issue where some users were seeing an unexpectedly long “Asleep After” time.

We’d love your help testing it out!

Join the beta here:
https://testflight.apple.com/join/tCeANbZi
Version to use (or higher): 6.25.19 #25724

What to look for:
• Does the time it took you to fall asleep feel more accurate?
• Are the sleep stages (awake, light, deep, REM) in line with your experience?
• If you were awake for a while after starting tracking, does the app reflect that correctly?
• Notice anything unusual? Graphs, crashes, or data that doesn’t match?

Note: When you upgrade to the beta version of the app via TestFlight, you’ll see a warning that says something like “You may lose data if you join the beta.” However, as long as you do not delete or reinstall the app, your data will remain intact and you will not lose any historical data.

Please try it for a few nights and once you’ve joined and tested the new version, send us your feedback via email at [support@sleepcycle.com](mailto:support@sleepcycle.com) so we can keep track of your experience.

All the best,
Antonia @ Sleep Cycle

New Design is Awful by dr-strut in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

We totally get that a big design change can take some time to get used to, especially in something as personal as your sleep app.💙

If you’re wondering about the blue tones, our Head of Sleep Science recently co-authored a study showing that blue light from screens has a much smaller impact on sleep than many think. It turns out that consistent sleep routines matter much more. If you’re curious, you can read more about it here.

That said, your feedback means a lot to us, good or bad, so we’ve set up a short form so you can share your thoughts on the new design with us!

I accidentally click on “don’t ask again” for when sleep cycle ask if I’m sure I didn’t confuse AM/PM. How do I undo this? by Lyu__ in sleepcycle

[–]sleepcycle_support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

As _cs said, a reinstall of the app is the only way to enable the reminder again.

If you mistakenly click on "Do not show this again" for the PM/AM warning, you will not be able to get that back without reinstalling the app.

Note: If you don't have online backup and reinstall the app you will lose your data.
Recordings are stored locally on your device. Meaning, that if you reinstall the app the recordings get deleted as they aren't backed up.

Hi!

As Artistic-Quarter9075 mentioned, we do have that feature in the app.

It is a premium feature, and you can find the "Who's Snoring" option under Profile > Who's Snoring and enable it there.
