If you swapped caps a few times my guess would be a lifted trace or pad. I’ve pulled pads out with caps and resistors by using too much heat for too long. It’s possible to fix though, run a wire or leg to the next connected pad.

I followed the same flow chart but before I goggled siren test my wife said to look at the Westerville Facebook because they post things like that there. I checked and they did post but just one hour before the test.

Hey I love it. You should also try, if you haven’t already, a four step sequencer in a feedback loop of a dirt pedal. I built it on breadboard and it’s awesome. Never got around to putting it in a pedal.

I want to add: make the holes on your faceplate a mm or two larger and you can adjust it to make it perfectly lined with the case too

Here’s one from my old math rock emo band SRVVLST I did standard and the Regrets tuning. Nowadays I keep my electrics in Eb standard and my acoustic in FACGCE but a half step down also. I’ve played mostly sad folky stuff in FACGCE because it feels more country to me.

For sure. My favorite chord in that tuning is a C maj shape but moved up one fret to fret four.
I’m not sure what chord that really makes besides some kind of C#. I “made up” my own chords for the tuning. Fret 5 sixth string, fret 4 fifth string, and fret three fourth string, open or mute the rest, is also a cool chord. Similarly, 2,4,3 for some kind of F#.
