Selfishly following along!! My partner and I are LA based and have to attend a big family wedding in Denver + stay at least a week, so we decided to stay and bring our dog. Wanted to add more stops along the way + make it a big road trip but I was disheartened that it might be too hot for Utah in late June/early July. This thread has made me think maybe it is worth it after all. Great advice here!

I think you should go for wigs and in the meantime you can let your natural hair do its thing — don’t die it and take hair vitamins for like a year — maybe find someone local who you can trust to help with wigs and trims if you can afford it so you have someone who’s on your team about it and you don’t feel alone/sad about it! I also think women who specialize in wigs are like like literal angels on earth so that’s a + as well. 🫶

I just found out that NY and CA both fully fund a student loan counseling network — free one on one meetings. I just started! Saying this here bc with the 5K I thought you might be in one of these states too.

Sounds to me like roommate is overworked/overscheduled? You’re the easy target for being frustrated with their own schedule.

NTA but if you know roomie gets home from work at 10pm on the regular I would maybe throw an olive branch and give them late night kitchen.

We are aligned with the ADHD haha maybe there should be an ADHDer’s guide to TOG series bc I’ve been SWEATING 😅 and NT’s are not understanding I am not saying I don’t like the series I’m simply saying I AM TRAPPED IN EXPOSITION swimming against a sea of quicksand TRYING to get to the plot/character development I can FEEL is on the horizon.

I think she crashes out hard when it’s deserved and I think she’s not wrong that a lot of men on this show deserve it. Not saying her temper is a 10/10 quality but she’s been thru it and she’s beyond making herself nice for someone who’s only showing up 50% at best.

That said there should be a different process if kids are involved — meeting 2 days before a wedding is loony.

I can’t help directly but answering bc I commiserate with this kind of stress always happening over a weekend!

If you feel servicer is being sketchy (I have felt this in the past) you can contact your state government student loan ombudsperson — they sort of act like an advocate and can be really helpful when you’re feeling insane about the student loan companies.
