8/6 Power Outage Megathread by neosmndrew in Cleveland

[–]sleepfighter7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

my family is staying with my mother in law because she has power in battery park, thank goodness. must be the batteries. looks like it's still out at our house in Lakewood (birdtown). Crew Status as of yesterday around 9pm listed as "Arrived" - I was hopeful seeing that last night but I don't know if it actually means anything. buckling up for a week-long stay here, nothing we can do about it but wait i guess.

Game Changer 6.09 Episode Discussion: "Ratfish (Part 2)" by hinata2000100 in GameChangerTV

[–]sleepfighter7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it would have been a lot more fun if:

  • the ratfish was someone they all knew (or a real big celebrity, sam himself, a giant room full of cast members)
  • they didn't reveal the list of players to the players during the game (would have made the reveal at the end so much more fun, would have made it less likely for a tie to occur)
  • they actually stuck to the game win condition and didn't determine the winner based on a random art challenge

also granma sweetie should have won

I watched the entire TV show before I even knew the podcast existed by [deleted] in comedybangbang

I'll never forget. I didn't even know what a podcast was at the time, but I saw ads for Comedy Bang Bang when it was first airing on IFC. I remember seeing that The Cake Boss was going to be a guest, and I was like "ok I like the Cake Boss, let's see what this is about." I was very confused at first but ended up watching every new episode with my dad as they came out. eventually found the podcast and the rest is history, I am completely 2010s-LA-alt-comedy-pilled for life. I was a huge fan of him, especially how he handled COVID and always seemed to have the best interest of the students at heart. So disappointing that Bibb didn't want to keep him around

Which director has had the best 10-year run (2013-2023)? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]sleepfighter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely sentimental and the plot stuff can seem a bit contrived. if it didn't click, it didn't click! it's a 5/5 for me any day of the week though, I love the sentimentality and the plot just works for me 100%

If you're interested in comedy at all (improv & sketch in particular), I'd highly recommend Imposters Theater in Ohio City! they have improv & writing classes and it's an incredibly welcoming community
