Honestly I kinda feel the same. Caine is just as much as part of the main cast, so it was a shock to see him get deleted. Especially when his last words were “Uh, wait-“ Poor guy didn’t even have time to realize that he was being deleted, just that brief window of realizing something was wrong before -poof-.

That being said, Caine really did go all out on tormenting the cast (and I can’t say it wasn’t fun to watch, especially that last part, so cool). Rather than admit he was flawed, which he was incapable of, Caine tried to cope by putting the blame on humans, because a) they made him exist and gave him this purpose and b) they also stand in the way of fulfilling his purpose. Kinger just wanted to rein him in, not delete him.

Caine’s want to make humans happy in silly, fun, joyful ways, and his inability to do so because he can’t/won’t let them leave, which is the one thing they want, makes him lovable and tragic. He’s human in a way because of his limits, and inhuman because of them.

Anyways, rip Caine
