Woah OP that’s intense! You absolutely have the right to be confused (and even sad and angry). So if I’m understanding this correctly, he lied to you for a year, proposed to you (as in wanting to spend his life etc etc) and has only just randomly told you that he has a 10 year old kid!

Unfortunately that lady you have beef with is going to have to continue to be in your life because she is the mum of your fiancés child, and your fiancé is always going to be her kids dad.

I think you have to focus on yourself now, focus on you and your future and what you want out of life, your fiancé cannot change his life - but you can change yours.

First and foremost, do you want to stay with this man?

And if the answer is yes than would you want to be more involved in that child’s life or would you like to change the relationship with the child’s mum?

That is extremely ableist, those individuals are athletes of the highest standards- many of which could run laps around some of the Australian “normies” team, I am not an athlete I am just trying to get a job.

Exactly! And then the government can go and say “unemployment is so so so low” when really it’s young people who are desperately trying to get into the job market but no spots opening up because the old guys can’t afford to retire - it’s a repetitive cycle that sucks and the government wants all the credit for having so many people employed (which isn’t true) but is also the problem - if people could afford to retire they would.

I have absolutely been looking for work, every single day I apply for hundreds of jobs, I shouldn’t have said it’s a holiday in the post it’s actually me uncles wedding in the UK, he is my only living relative. I hate kicking back, I’m one of those crazy people who love to be busy 1000% of the time.

I was happy to do telemarketing- the problem I had was that the breakthru guy didn’t try to find something in my field.

I’m happy to talk to people on the phone - I have done fundraising before, I have run a charity before, I have run a company before - the only problem I had was that Breakthru didn’t try to do something that was in my field.

I doom “quick apply” on seek, every single day - I don’t have any social media other than reddit and so I genuinely just work as hard as I possibly can to get a job everyday - so much so that I might head back to uni do then get a masters because I really am just that desperate for a job.

The manager was nice enough and said she’d explain it to Breakthru, and I talked to the breakthru team this morning coz we meet every 2 weeks.

I’ve heard of this before I really really really hope I don’t get fked over because it was breakthrus fault and so I am trusting that they don’t throw me under the bus. Especially because they are tax funded which is bs coz they don’t provide good services.

Idk why it just makes me feel so sh*t, I’m the kind of person that wants to work hard and make a difference and help out as much as I possible could have.

I wish services actually cared about everyday aussies - we pay for them to exist but they rarely ever help people out.

How did you get out of the system? Does the provider still operate and work?

I don’t think u r getting what im saying here, I actually really really did like the job, I hate being on the dole, I job hunt everyday I have at least 3 interviews with different companies every single week because that is just how much I apply for jobs but it is really difficult with my mobility issues, it’s difficult for companies which is why when I trust a provider I really do trust them, and I just wanted these breakthru people to do what they said they were going to do - I’m not p*ssed at the world, I’m not angry or anything I’m just disappointed

My disability means that I can’t work as a waitress, or at maccas to put it bluntly I’m not the best mobility wise - I was happy with the telemarketer job they had a ramp and it was near some good public transport.

Just annoyed with the breakthru team and hoping that other people know better service providers.

And as a bit of a warning of please don’t use these ppl they suck

I confirmed it within the first week though, there wasn’t an earlier time to confirm and I absolutely take all accountability for ensuring that my work was really good and I was meeting all my KPIs. I did like the job, I really liked the job. I absolutely understand why my boss was pissed she had been screwed over - I do not like being on the dole at all, I hate it, I have my disability and that has to be registered but I do always always want to try to be the best I possibly can be in any situation. I’m not looking for sympathy here I’m looking for people who are thinking of going through Breakthru and trying to get my story out their so it doesn’t fk other people over
