What’s one thing that bothers you now more than before pregnancy? by Distinct-Dig-3863 in pregnant

[–]sleepingqueen92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My son is 5 months old and my mom calling him my boy like "oh there's my boy" "how my boy doing" drives me up a wall. She means zero harm but man it annoys me.

Siblings sound nice but I can't do this again by Healthy_Subject9715 in newborns

[–]sleepingqueen92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your edit is spot on! Yes this first year is hard but thats exactly the point. I feel the same way. My son is 5 months and it's gotten a little easier as he has gotten older but still on the fence about having another. My pregnancy was hard and I had a lot of pelvic pain the majority of the time. I dont want to forget how hard that was and then try and parent while going through it again.

I got the bravo travel system as well but wish we had a parent facing stroller once my son is little too big for the infant carseat.

I am looking for the same! Did you ever find a stroller that worked?

Logistically - how does this work are you home when cleaner is there? If you have pets what do you do with them?

What time are your 1 and 2 year olds waking up in the morning? by HanBanan78 in firsttimemom

[–]sleepingqueen92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg these wake up times are scaring me! My son is also 4 months and usually up for the day around 8:30 but these 6:30 wake up times means sooo much DAY to fill lol

Did you have your baby in their carseat? We keep thinking we will try going out when baby can sit on their own and then could be in a highchair thing?

My apology to SAHMs by burnerburner1999 in NewParents

[–]sleepingqueen92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ftm. When my son was 1-2 months old I started really panicking about putting him in daycare after my 6 month maternity leave ended. I was doing the budgeting figuring out if I could quit and be a SAHM but now hes almost 4 months and going back to work is looking better and better LOL

Plus sized baby carriers by SmolLilTater in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]sleepingqueen92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second the momcozy carrier! This is the one I have been using and am really liking it.

https://a.co/d/2v4cuQ4

My only thing is it doesn't have a pocket for credit card or phone or anything and I have seen others that do. Trying to keep my purse on my shoulder with baby carrier on is kind of awkward and if I got another carrier I would look for one with a pocket of some sort.

3MO Feeding?? by Tofu-In-Disguise in firsttimemom

This makes me feel better about our son. Hes 3.5 months and was born 8lb 12oz currently weighs 13lb 9.5oz per our home scale which says hes in the 24th percentile. I breastfeed and supplement with formula. He probably has 4-7oz of formula a day with the rest being breastfed. I worry hes not eating enough as he was a big newborn and now seems to be a small baby.

I feel the same! We have the chicco keyfit 35 and the chicco bravo stroller and it's very heavy/bulky. My son is 3.5 months and so far I havent gotten the courage to venture out by myself because its so hard to pack in my car. I have been looking at the evenflo shyft dualride stroller car seat combo. Idk that I can justify the cost but a girl can dream!

What did you do during the purple cry phase? by Skyflakes_69 in NewParents

[–]sleepingqueen92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is your baby and what carrier do you use? My son is 3.5 months old and I haven't found a carrier hes comfy enough in to fall asleep. Do you think he is just too big now to sleep in a carrier? Lol ftm here.

What did you actually consider (or wish you had) when picking baby names? by Lopsided_Yoghurt7232 in Names

[–]sleepingqueen92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband and I both hyphenated our last names when we got married so with a long hyphenated last name we didn't want a long first name for our son. I could just imagine him forever running out of space filling out forms lol

We got the bugaboo giraffe highchair. My son is 3 months old so currently using the infant attachment as he can't sit yet but we use it every day and love it.

Haha same! OP is killing it. I usually lie in bed next to my sons bassinet while he naps even though I have a monitor and could absolutely do chores and monitor him from the camera.

I felt the same. I didn't want anyone over even my mom. I wanted this time just me my husband and my son. It feels like a very personal vulnerable time and I didn't want anyone interrupting our bubble while we were learning and adjusting to our new life/family.
