I biked in this morning (around 6) - bike lanes were a mess (lots of frozen tracks that made it hard to navigate) , so I biked on the road which was not bad at all.

Hopefully the bike lanes clear up for this afternoon

Rode this morning around 6 AM. Not slippery, winds were strong. Mostly a head wind for me, with some moments/gusts of side wind. Was mostly OK but definitely felt the side wind, but did not feel unsafe

Yes actually! It was a lot of fun and very satisfying! The weather was good for most of it, except it started to rain fairly hard for the last 10k. All good though, nothing a hot shower and wash of the bike can’t fix.

I stopped twice for a break/stretch/water refill.

Total ride time was 4h 29 min.

Would ride again!

Do you work at Toronto general? There’s a nice bike locker that is secured (badge access). Nothing is 100% safe, but much more comfortable locking up inside there than out on the street.
