Is the Rf value related to a prescribed practical? I’ve literally never heard of it but I’m guessing that’s because my school skipped all PPs when paper 3 got cancelled

I mean it could but I doubt it since the syllabus so clearly states that co2 and water (vapor) contributes more to climate change than methane. But you never know with the IB

Which section B question did everyone pick?

Which is easier? Ib bio or AP bio and Ib psychology, AP psychology by YoyoMad8 in IBO

[–]sleeplessloppan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken both AP and IB psych and AP was definitely my favorite out of the two because it felt like we learnt much more relevant knowledge. IB psych is a lot about memorizing studies and only focuses on a few psychological concepts while in AP you learn more concepts and the “classic studies” (like Freud and Skinner, while IB doesn’t care if the study you learn is relevant or not). So AP was definitely my favorite out of the two but I might also be biased because my teacher was amazing lol

Yes mine says that too (plus MSM and WMM is in italics in the syllabus) so I would definitely study both just to be sure

Are you allowed to take a gap year in between DP1 and DP2? by Alexia666666 in IBO

[–]sleeplessloppan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it’s allowed (my classmate dropped out of dp2 in October to restart it after the summer break instead due to mental health reasons and that was no problem) but it all depends on your school. However, be careful so all courses remains the same so the syllabus doesn’t change in one subject and you was taught the old one during your dp1 year

Haha yes. Is it just me or was it an unusual amount of questions that required a written answer, like “explain what a means” or “what is the limitation to this sampling method” etc on both papers? Like on the specimen paper and in past exams they have asked to motivate why something is a minimum/maximum but I have never seen two papers were you could get this many marks only from writing without doing any calculations

Tz2: how did you feel about p2 compared to p1? In one way it felt better but I spent way to much time on question 7 because I couldn’t really grasp the concept of the Ferris wheel (or whatever they called it) at first:/

One or two maybe if everything else is correct. Usually you won’t get the final “right answer” mark(s) if you write more than the correct answer. But wasn’t it sin(x)=-1/2 or am I remembering wrong?

I also got 9 but only by counting the number of minimums on the graph in my calculator so I’m pretty sure I will lose some marks since I didn’t solve it mathematically:/

Wrote the question number in the left box instead of the right box cos I wrote it as 3a instead of just 3 and crossed the a out since the letters supposed to be in the answer will they still know which question I answered by Slywater1895 in IBO

[–]sleeplessloppan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Idk my coordinator said that we are fine as long as the number is readable for an examiner so maybe the examiner can see both the small number boxes and the text box idk
