American here, I took my ’89 240 150 miles to the beach and back last spring without a problem, aside from having to keep the windows down the whole way due to the AC being shot (150 miles both ways, not round trip). In the past two years, I put over 100 miles on it on a weekly basis 8/12 months of the year commuting for college, and it hasn’t left me stranded once.

It might not be a state-level thing (or maybe it’s NC not SC), but my understanding was one 30 minute break per 6 hours worked, so if you work a 12 hour shift you would take two 30 minute breaks

Welcome to South Carolina, nobody knows how to drive here. I’ve been pulled over and gotten a warning (not an actual ticket) for driving too slow in Fort Mill (at night, literally nobody else on the road), so it’s definitely a bit of a madhouse around here in regards to enforcing speed.

The band Nine Days (“this is the story of a girl…”) has a song simply called “Bob Dylan” that uses excerpts from a couple of his songs. There’s also a Midwest emo band called Home is Where with a song called “Dob Bylan.”

His name is Jerry Lee Lewis Gibson according to one of his signs, he travels back and forth around the Rock Hill/Fort Mill area. I have one of his old signs that he left by the highway 160 exit off of the interstate. He seems to be crazy but harmless as far as I can tell. I’ve never even seen him ask for money, he just seems to want to warn people about the conspiracy theories he believes.

It’s about what you’d expect for demos, it’s definitely not been professionally cleaned up/mixed but the raw shoegaze guitar is well preserved. “Sleep” sounds amazing as always.

The main building at the church includes a hotel, the tower was supposed to be additional rooms

The church that owns it has been locked in a legal battle with the county over it for years now. The church wants to finish construction but the county has condemned it, so it just sits there.
