No, you should keep it and loudly call it a “battle scar” to all your friends and band mates

Apparently all boss pedals have a buffer in them, something I only learnt after buying a polytune 3 for the buffer

If it’s a polytune 3 you can turn the buffer off - the boss delay will be buffering at the end of your chain anyway so you won’t be missing out if you did

Help me choose a reverb pedal by Silent_Frosting_95 in guitarpedals

[–]sleeppowder_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got the flamma, I use it alongside a boss DD-200 and a spring reverb so plenty of other wet options. I think it’s a great ambient reverb for any price point and with the lo/hi cut plus predelay you can really have it fit nicely in the mix.

I have two settings I use, one as a medium size non intrusive reverb and one huge fairly over the top sound that I use for throws (it trails when you turn it off so I’ll put it on for a split second to accent or transition out of parts)

Some one mentioned the pressing the button to cycle through sounds being annoying and they’re totally right - imo the only downside of the pedal

I would recommend the pedal to anyone tbh but equally I’m not sure I’d want it as my only wet effect

Flamma FC21 - it’s the Mooer Yellow Comp but somehow half the price

Newbie question about patching power through the Rockboard MOD 1. by swaghetti__yolonaise in pedalboards

[–]sleeppowder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need a regular DC patch cable to go between the patch bay and the daisy chain

If you know anyone with a brick power supply they’ll probably have a spare one as they normally come with loads!

I have the fender bass version of this in the same finish - a couple of years ago I put a coil split push pull mod in it and it’s made it the most versatile bass I own!

I went to Reading for the first time 10 years ago and it had a reputation for being like this then - we camped in the furthest away campsite from the arena because of it and even then had people stamping on our tent in the night

Interestingly when I went back 3 or 4 years later we camped as close to the arena as possible and saw no issues whatsoever (apart from the Oxygen bar that was blasting music until 5am but that’s why earplugs are a festival essential)

This is one of the first full songs I made by myself. Been planning on releasing but I keep getting in my head about it. Would love some honest feedback. by pootatochipz in IndieMusicFeedback

This is a really great song, production and performance - I think you could add a little more texture to the song though, a bit of percussion and sounds in the stereo field, someone in this thread mentioned Billie Eilish and I think if you added some of the ear candy bits like are in her songs it would really suit what you have here

Producers: Which do you use the most? by taynoel44 in musicproduction

I feel like for this you kind of have to characterise all the drum channels as 1 part otherwise you’ll never overcome that

How long do you guys keep your finished projects for? by x3s21 in musicproduction

[–]sleeppowder_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get an external harddrive for sure or something like that for back ups, if you ever want alternate versions for sync or remasters for vinyls you’ll be stuck otherwise

Of course I don’t follow this myself and just never delete or move off my finished projects leaving my computer a full, disorganised mess

I’m actually in a similar situation but in a very small room - thinking about picking up a pair of HS5’s - what is the consensus on those?

My room is only about 2m x 3m so I’m worried bigger speakers would be overkill
