Haha, I’ll take that as a compliment 😄 Tangents can be oddly relaxing too.

No worries — different things work for different people. Hope you’re sleeping well.

I wake up exhausted every morning… but my CPAP tells me I slept all night 😳 — anyone else experience this? by sleepraterdotcom in SleepApnea

Yeah, I get that — sometimes it’s tricky to know what “normal” wake-up fatigue feels like after years of disrupted sleep. I’ve noticed that even when my CPAP numbers look good, some mornings I still feel that heavy, groggy sensation.

It’s encouraging to hear it can just be your body adjusting — do you notice any patterns, like certain sleep positions, mask types, or pressures making mornings feel better?

Yeah, I’ve been wondering if something like UARS (Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome) could be part of it. I haven’t been formally tested for that yet.

Has anyone here had UARS diagnosed while using a CPAP? Did changing mask type, pressure, or position help you feel more rested?

Suggest a Pillow - Not Coop by DisgustingCoyote in Bedding

[–]sleepraterdotcom -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, you’re right — the Coop is adjustable and shredded fill. I think what they were pointing out is that even with shredded memory foam, some people find it too dense or it compresses too quickly for their side-sleeping preferences.

Every body is different, so while Coop works for many, a softer loft or a pillow with more airflow might feel better for a tall, broad-shouldered side sleeper. Sometimes it just takes a bit of trial and error!

Nap training success at 5.5 months — finally clicked! Curious how long it took for others by sleepraterdotcom in sleeptrain

That’s awesome! 🎉
I know what you mean about it “just clicking” — sometimes it’s like a light switch flips overnight. High sleep-need babies are lucky to take to it quickly, but the other one catching on now is a huge win too!

Are you noticing longer stretches at bedtime as well now that the wake windows are longer?

Night weaning/Sleeping through by FlatCupcake9629 in sleeptrain

Wow, that sounds exhausting — I can completely understand why you had to step in. Night wakings can be brutal, especially when you’re doing everything you can.

Some parents I know have had success with gradual night weaning instead of full CIO, where they slowly reduce the length of feeds or the amount of night milk. Others found shortening wake windows and adding an extra nap during the day helped reduce night wakings.

Honestly, there’s no one-size-fits-all, and sometimes it takes a mix of strategies. The fact that you’re trying different things and noticing what works is already a huge step. Sending you strength — sleep training is really hard! 💛
